Yeah. That is exactly it.

So you're basically saying you knew what you were getting out of QBs that each had started more than 10 games, but you don't know what you're getting out of a qb on his first yr? That's not rocket science, bro

does any of this have to do w/ coaching?
are you saying that we went 13-0 b/c of miles' coaching.

if so, i agree.

i do think that the coaches are trying to use the best of mett and there is a learning curve.

patience, grasshopper.

I read it. I'm glad we don't have the 110th ranked offense with Jefferson or the fold like a lawn chair when you get drilled act from Lee anymore.

No. What I am saying is for the benefit of all the people who thought Mettenberger should have gotten tons of playing time last year over Jefferson and Lee. And for the people who shite-talked both guys all year last year.

And I guess that is my point too....it is a trade-off. This year's offense may be a little more "dynamic", but will also be a little more mistake prone from the QB position for a little while. So which would you rather have? If Mettenberger takes care of the ball better than he did last night, I take this year in a heartbeat. If he continues to turn the ball over at the wrong time, then last year doesn't look so bad all of a sudden.

And I am not arguing that either...in fact I agree with it. We are just going to have to live with some of his mistakes until he learns from them, which I believe that he will.

BUT, had Mett gotten some meaningful reps in mop-up
duty last year when JJ was suspended, would he have
now enough experience and understanding of SEC speed to not have made some of the mistakes he did against Auburn?

Why would I do that? I am not some attention-post whore like some people here. And my point has been made.

Meaningful reps and mop-up duty don't seem to fit together...

I am referring to last year...not 4 years ago. There were no INT-TD's thrown by our QB's last year.
