The one concern was the lack of mobility Mett has displayed; there was one 3rd down scramble that JJ would have gotten maybe 15 yds on, that Mett looked like we has about to fall down at the line of scrimmage (he lurched around and came up short).
Mett ran for a 20 yd gain against Ole Miss last year, I thought he was a little more coordinated physically than he looks this season. Maybe early season jitters.
What I'd really like would be to have the ULM qb. That kid looks tons more composed

He says he wasn't nervous, but he looked extremely nervous out there.

I am Mett - I am the starting QB of NC worthy LSU - Damn if I am going to say that I was nervous in my first SEC Road game

Yeah, I didn't buy it either... Gotta say the right things though.

The business they brought to local cardiac units is about all I can think of

Honestly I am happy we have Mett and he brings much more to this offense than either of the previous two QBs did over the last 4 seasons.
Mett had some things he can improve on, but he is doing things that will make our offense very scary if the WRs can catch the ball. Also it would be great if the OL can keep him from getting consistently hit all the time and block 3-4 guys with out two running backs staying in to help.

Fast forward 20 years - (if Mett can't cut it in the NFL). Picture Mett in an Atlanta country club, having hand in throwing action, with a drink in the other hand, talking to the 'ol boys about the time he was a first time starter in Hostile Auburn territory and brought LSU their only 2nd Road win there in more than a decade or so.

My point is this...say what you want, but for the most part, you knew exactly what you were going to get from Lee and Jefferson.
I am so happy someone brought this up again..........................................................NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only fair comparison would be after ZM has at least two full years starting. Then let us compare.

Lee/ JJ were battle tested SRs, albeit shitty QBs, but they knew what to expect game in and game out.
It's mett's first yr starting at this level. Did we know what we were getting in Lee and JJ's first year as a starter? Awful comparison
^This.

Give us all a break...leave that crap in the PAST where it belongs...new year...get over it...

GTFO... You forget that the last time we played at Auburn and J Lee and JJ were playing, they both layed a big freaking egg. Please realize we were playing an away game, and 1 bad game is not a reason to doubt Mett.

actually, you didn't know what you were getting from Jordan from game to game, and that was the problem. 250 yds vs. Arky followed by absolute shittiness in the SECCG.
Mett showed some good stuff on Sat, much more good than bad IMO. he'll be ok. especially if we get ppl that can block for him.

JJ would have thrown an interception and then looked around to see who he could blame
Mett will be fine!!!
