They released a calendar! Wahoo!

I mean a calendar of characters not a calendar or timeline for release

I see it wasn't discussed here, but apparently last month on his blog he committed to a 2021 release.

He also said if he didn’t finish it by the end of this July that we could forcibly imprison him, so I don’t give a frick what this fat turd has to say. He’s had all the time in the world with Covid.

Wasn't Storm published in 2000?

That would have given Jon’s king of the north scene a run for its money as best “frick yeah!” scene of the series.

I would have nutted all over my tv for that scene.

That would have been simply amazing. Possibly the perfect culmination of his story (Depending on how the fight ends). God I hate what happened in the show.

Brandon Sanderson would have finished the 7 asoif books, a 7 book sequel, and a 7 book prequel in that time.

It looks like GRRM will never finish book 6 much less the series.
I have a friend in the publishing business that said the word on the street is GRRM hasn't written a full chapter in over a year.
I cant believe that. I know he is lazy but not even a chapter in an entire year?? That is next level fat assery and laziness.

Re-reading the books. In the last two he may have let the world get too big with too many moving parts to wrap it all up in a why that makes sense and keeps up the quality.
He created the problem, but it could be too big of a task to accomplish.
There’s a reason Tolkien left so much of middle earth in histories and notes and short references rather than fleshed out novels.
