From what I have seen of Mo, she has no downside, unless you are put off by her somewhat Tebowesque Christianity.

Nice girl, intelligent, articulate and pretty.

She makes me want to root for LSU and I am programmed not to do that.

There are a buncha butt-hurt internet badass's here that are pissed off because a woman is more athletically talented than they are. They talk a lot of shite, but I'd like to see any of them get out and kick a kickoff to the goal line.

shite like this is so refreshing. As a fan, I sometimes forget these players are still "kids", and that they play for a combination of scholly's and pride, and not for a paycheck.

If a girl can kick off better than a guy, by God let her kick.

I hope she makes it.

Duke - She was a prima donna and distraction so the coach got rid of her.

Jacksonville State - What a great way to burn a scholarship.

New Mexico - See Jacksonville State.

Colorado - Allegations of sexual abuse? I'm shocked. Sort of like allegations of racism. Make the accusation, watch everyone dive for cover and let them prove their innocence.

I'm going to let it go at this point. But as my last word cannot you realize what is happening? Mo Isom would be strychnine for the LSU football team. Nothing good could come of this other than allowing a bunch of girly men to feel good about their open-mindedness. It is time for them to grow a set and grow up.

This. But apparently Part Deux of the three ring circus will ensue in August.

She can't. That's the issue. Let it go.

Nobody is knocking her for her looks, achievements, personality, soccer ability, smarts or anything else that makes you people drool.
I couldn't care less if she's a better athlete on here worst day than I ever was on my best.
This has become a circus and the girl should wake up and come back to where the rest of us live, which is a town called reality.

I don't see how Meaux not making the team is win/win. W/ her on the team, we would get more media attention than any other team. I wouldn't be surprised to see all of our games in 2012 televised if for no other reason than to see the Homecoming Queen tack on an extra point. Just think how many more millions that would be for the University.

And then there's the X factor of having a "little sister" on the team. She's quite the motivator and could be a huge asset when the team needs something to rally around.

seriously? All of our games are already televised. We don't need a gimmick to get media attention. We are not Boise St. or the Texas State Fighting Armadillos.

We will already be a preseason top 3 team. That will gain us all the media attention we need.

I don't think the team needs a fourth string female kicker to rally around.

We were on tv basically every week last week without the sideshow. Yeah it turns out top 3 teams can get on tv without a female kicker, don't feel bad I didn't know this either.

And she probably wouldn't be tacking on extra points against anyone but maybe Towson in the 4th quarter. Let's just call this what it was, a publicity stunt for her to get her name out there.

There's just no reason to put a woman out there in danger on a kickoff if a man can do the job.

Miles said it himself. The tackling is the issue.

No self respecting man would put a woman out there to even potentially get hurt...even if the woman was begging for it. Women aren't made to be brutalized. Men are.

This is why Mo isn't on the team IMO.

The issue was always going to be tackling. I think we all knew this ahead of time. The problem on here is that you have a handful who think that just because she is a woman she can't be on the team. And a handful that think because she is a woman it would somehow be great for the team.

Gender isn't the issue. Talent and ability are the issue. Can she run down and tackle as well as the other kickers...apparently not at this point. I think part of that has to be will, or as Coach puts it "chest".

I don't see her running full speed and diving head first into a man running full speed at her. Most people in the world are not willing to do this because as you are running down the field you know it is gonna hurt.

Most guys who played football and played ST agree that they prefer not to play kickoffs for that exact reason.

Holy shite you missed some great threads.

There were a large handful of guys on here that said she would never have to tackle and even if she did she'd be better than Hairston or Alleman.

I am not joking. I was pulling my hair out. No woman outside of Chyna is going to tackle a D1 kick returner. They were saying "I'm sure she could trip them or something". I am about 170-180 depending on the shite I take that day, I am not a hoss by any means, and I would bulldoze right the frick over Mo Isom.

yea I saw them. I even commented in one saying 'kickers barely can tackle anyway' but the issue isn't so much ability to tackle in my opinion but willingness to do so. I just don't imagine a woman (I know all about her goalie attitude and that stuff) willing to subject that much pain to herself and still possibly not make a tackle.

Either way lets hope that our kicker isn't presented with the opportunity to make a tackle in 2012

Word man. I hope that guy who's sister was a college soccer player and was convinced that she could do it as well as the men.

I'm enjoying the hell out of this thread.

"rally around the female kicker when sh!t goes south" ?

Some of you shouldn't be aloud to comment on, watch, or further disgrace the game of football.

Go write a screen play you bunch of fairies.

This is rantard knighthood/chivalry at its best.

And Choctaw is probably not going to comment.

I'm kind of torn on the situation, but I can guarantee you the negativity is NOT because of this.
