If she walks out on the field next season to kick-off or try an extra point or field goal, I'll be standing in front of my seat in the NE endzone cheering my head off for her.

Screaming your head off huh? Ok
Sounds like she won't make it anyway, might get a gig at the healing place though

Mo's Facebook page says she didn't make the team for Spring. But she will get another shot in August.

Quick and simple question here. What other players are trying to walk on as kickers? Can you tell me?

W/ her on the team, we would get more media attention than any other team.
For all the wrong reasons.

And then there's the X factor of having a "little sister" on the team. She's quite the motivator and could be a huge asset when the team needs something to rally around.
Obviously you never played a single down of organized football above the Pop Warner level.

Still dont get when she started to dream of playing college football.
My childhood dream was to make sweet love to a golden girl.
I've learned to live with my disappointments.
So can she.

This is the best I could do. "6 or 7 other kickers." She's the only one who has received any press. And while I understand your point, I think it's a different case than trying to equate Mo with the numerous people who have tried out to be a kicker who are male.
The reason I say that is because there are only three other major FBS schools that I know of who have had a female kicker on the team (Duke with Sue Mercer and Colorado/New Mexico with Katie Hnida). There was another female kicker, Ashley Martin, at Jacksonville St.
There may be more that I am unaware of, but the point is that it's a rare case. That's why it's interesting and newsworthy to folks. And regardless of what motives people read into her actions, Mo has certainly carried herself with grace as an LSU athlete.
One last thing - because football falls within the contact sports exemption of Title IX, Miles did not have to let her try out at all. I think it shows gumption on his part that he did and that he offered her feedback on her development. That speaks to his character in my opinion.

Is that her? Kinda looks like her.
Oh, to wake up to that in the middle of the night...

this
the fact that she convinced Coach Miles to give her a shot in the first place is a win for her. And its not like she doesnt know how good Alleman and Hairston are so her expectations couldnt have been all that high

Another question; How did it work out for those three teams?

We have top 3 talent in the nation. The media's gonna come whether Mo is on the team or not.

I wouldn't be surprised to see all of our games in 2012 televised if for no other reason than to see the Homecoming Queen tack on an extra point
See above.
All of our games except NWSU were televised last year. They'll all be televised again this year regardless of who the kicker is. Once again, it's one of the perks of being one of the top 3 teams in the nation.
