What is TD's view on being a fan of two different schools? Such as being a fan of Bama in football and Duke in basketball

Interesting you have that example because i am a fan of UNC in basketball and LSU in football. Also, Lil' Wayne shares those same teams as his own.

You have no soul or common decency, and deserve to be roundly mocked for your complete lack of moral fiber.*

*Exception -- you went to two different schools, and root for them in all sports. But none of this rooting for one school in football and another in basketball. That's gutless.

Perfectly acceptable.

<-------------- Iona College basketball; LSU football.

ETA: Iona no longer has a football program.

Ohio Bobcats and Ohio State Buckeyes. Only reason I can rationalize it is because one is a midmajor and alma mater, and the other is my team growing up.

Ditto what Baloo said. Although I would like to meet an Alabama basketball fan/Duke football fan, if there are any.

Who the hell is a fan of Bama in football and Duke in basketball? The people associated with those two schools couldn't be more different. If Bama football fans are going to jump on any bandwagon, it would be for Kentucky basketball but even that's a stretch.

Grew up an LSU fan, but I'll admit I jumped on the UNC bandwagon. As time went on, I eventually stopped following them, and I enjoy Duke losses more than UNC wins.

I'm big into LSU basketball now, so I guess I cured myself.

Had family connections to LSU and Louisiana, and just simply grew up from a very young age adoring Carolina basketball. Just how it happened folks, sorry for following my gut.

I'm fine with it if them or their family has connections to the school or if you knew they have been following that particular team forever.

I'm having a debate with my friends who are all fans of one powerhouse football team (Bama) and another powerhouse basketball team (Duke)

I was a fan of LSU before they were a powerhouse, and UNC was always a powerhouse, but they had about 4 years of mediocre-poor basketball in which I was still a big fan and loved them. So I can say I have paid my dues.

And I'll admit to rooting for three different schools. I went to LSU, grew up in Maryland, and went to Baylor postgrad. But I have a heirarchy for rooting (LSU -- Maryland -- Baylor) which I do not violate. If Baylor or Maryland plays LSU in any sport, I root for LSU. Period, end of story.

I have never met someone who is a fan of both Duke football, and basketball ...
