georgia for everything. then i root for UNC. if i rooted for UGA football and UNC basketball i'd even call myself an a-hole but if the two played in either sport i'd root on UGA. luckily neither ever meet so i root for UGA and then i root for UNC and honestly between the two there is no comparison with my loyalties. still i'd say i was a fan of 2 schools

I grew up an LSU fan and graduated from Cal State Fullerton (who doesn't have football).

I follow LSU in most sports and also follow CSF in the sports they play. Considering that except for baseball, Fullerton isn't on the same level as LSU this really hasn't been an issue.

i have attended 3 different schools for undergrad, masters, phd and i cheer for all three.

never really thought of stratifying my rankings on a linear scale; all 3 are equal in my book.

*Exception -- you went to two different schools, and root for them in all sports. But none of this rooting for one school in football and another in basketball. That's gutless.

I can see it if your favorite school is a basketball school and doesn't have football.

Or if your school is a football school (like Penn State) but the basketball team is virtually nonexistent.

you should still be a Penn State BB fan if you went to PSU.
