coming in and doing an awesome job for Garrett Hartley. He was money all year and a true professional. Was just looking at the Saints all time records and he set a new scoring record this year!! Thank you John. Keep your cellphone on in the offseason, just in case.

He was great for us. I always hated him in Carolina bc he was so damn clutch but I was happy to have him this season.

for truth. the way he played this season, i'd keep him on the team over Hartley next year to be honest.

I don't know if they keep a statistic for clutch kicks, but he was downright lethal against the Saints.

I agree with this post.

Kasay did an unbelievable job. Hats off to him.

Choosing between him and hartley is like choosing between two great cars. Sucks that we have to make the choice, but we have to go with youth here.

To John Kasay.

i agree if he wasn't so old i would rather keep him and get rid of adderal hartley but his leg is only going to good for so long and he is older than sin. Also I got excited every time I heard his name it made me think of

we can always find another kicker.

accuracy doesn't go away from a leg like his. and there's no way he loses more than a yard off his power in just one year. i'd love for him to stick around as long as he can, especially if the Saints have a shot to win it next year.

maybe it's just my bias because I don't like Hartley that much. obviously he was huge in the Super Bowl run, but I'm more of a "what have you done for me recently" kinda guy

His injury this year is more of an anomaly than a fault of his. Kind of like lightning in the bottle, flash in the pan.

I mean how often do kickers get injured really.

He'll be fine and be great for us next year.

I'm pretty sure he's the only player from Tecmo Super Bowl still in the league.

Kasay's still very accurate, despire his age. He could probably go at it for another few years, but Hartley's definitely got the leg to go the distance. I don't see Hartley going anywhere anytime soon, but here's hoping that John can catch on with another team, if he decides to play a few more years.

Hartley is too erratic. Plus he was hitting the ball with a huge hook late last year and before he got hurt. I say you either keep Kasay another year or look for a replacement asap

He did a great job this year. We didnt lose any games because of missed FG i can remember any way, and I was sure we would after this. Great job old man! proving you can be both a member of the AARP and a solid kicker in the NFL!
