I saw that run and was like damn, Reggie looks good. Then he proceeded to cross back over the entire field and lose a few yards like we're all used to
y'all did watch him play last year right? He rushed for over 1,000 yds and avg 5 yds/carry

so when he gets hurt, do you two plan on apologizing?
Point is you don't know what the coaches see when they are breaking down film, our coaches have made very few mistakes in talent evaluation on the offensive side of the ball. There are way more Jahri Evans' and Marques Colston's and Pierre Thomas' and Lance Moore's then Olin Kruetz's.... It is not out of the realm of possibility that Arrington is the offensive Scott Shanle, but lets let him prove that first because our offensive coaches kinda get it.

Pierre is superior in pass game and Deuce is the better pure runner.... However Deuce single handedly won a playoff game in 2006, Pierre doesn't have a game like that yet

well, he was a kick returner in year and im pretty sure he spent time on the practice squad

PT is the greatest screen-pass-catcher in Saints history. Hell, maybe one of the best ever, he is a simply the master of the screen pass catch. Other than that, Deuce.

you people are killing me here.... Deuce and it's not even close for one reason. He used to carry the ball 20-25 times per game plus 3-5 receptions EVERY GAME! There were years when he was like 65% of our offense. It was Joe Horn and him and that's it.

Pierre while very very talented could never take that punishment week in and week out. Plus he has never been the focus of the offense for the opposing defense to key on.

Finally, it's 4th and goal on the 1 with the game on the line who ya giving it to?

North Carolina connection

Posted by LsuSaintsMan on 8/17/12 at 12:34 pm
Anybody know who is our football North Carolina recruiting connection?

Lewis Neal, Greg Gilmore.... We're in on Tyquan Lewis and now I see we're in on 2014 TE Jeb Blazevich? What or who is the connection?

quote:

I'm talking about when he has adequate blocking and he just wants to unload on a defender and picks up 2 yards. I know that style has worked for him in the past, but if he wants a future in this league he's going to need to diversify.
agreed, Cadet does more things well then Ivory, most importantly might be pass protection, we are very predictable when Ivory is in the game because of his poor pass blocking skills.
quote:

Tanner anyone
can anyone honestly say Tanner, Morgan, or Roby look any better this camp/preseason then Arrington the last several?

We won't know crap until the bullets start to fly in a real game. These guys look great against crap coverage and they aren't running the real offensive schemes. That's why even though everyone is knocking AA and Dev this preseason they will probably still make the team because what you gain with athleticism with Morgan and Tanner, you lose in knowledge of the offense.
quote:

people are missing the point, the guy is valuable despite his health problems because he can play all WR positions from being there so long.
exactly
quote:

graham played one year of college, had like 10 catches in college, and it took him about half a year to be a beast in the offense.
not the point of my comment

quote:

True but the guy has been giving 5 years and still can't seem to get past training camp. How long do you think they should continue to try and invest in this dude??
I feel ya, but the guy at least knows where to be on the field, I think we need him this year.

Why is everyone bashing AA? This offense isn't easy, Lance, Pierre, Meachem, Ingram, Ivory, Reggie, and Graham all took time to develop. You don't just step in day one and kick arse in the Saints offense unless your a true bad arse like Colston or Sproles(although he is a vet).

AA knows this offense better then Toon, Morgan, or Tanner and he will play well this year if he can get/stay healthy.
This injury actually hurts pretty bad because Colston and Moore have been injury prone over the years, Dev is declining, and Toon and Morgan don't have any experience. Good thing we got Graham and 4 bad arse RBs!
quote:

Ivory and Cadet's skill sets are not redundant. This will help Ivory, imo. When Ivory is on his game, there is probably not a more punishing runner in the league.
wow really? Ever heard of Peterson, Blount, Steven Jackson, Gore, or Brandon Jacobs?
FYI I actually just went on stubhub and got tickets in upper Saints 50 yd line for $77 vs $85 on ticketmaster for the Failclowns sideline same seats opposite side.
