AMEN... this is reaction too a horrible moment but what other time this year were we outplayed or coached. We are a very good team and have a human coach. Not one one person here is privy to the real situation and may never be. And really probably shouldn't be. None of this was surfacing post the first Alabama game while we were winning. I think just the opposite I would still take Les hands down! Is he perfect... no but

LSU IS the top program in the SEC...just proved it last month. Undefeated. If u wish to compare it to Bama do so with a caveat: getting something for free and earning it are 2 different things. Bama will drop off next year.....LSU? Who knows. Our coach sure as hell didn't prep our qb for it.

The game was the worst I have seen an LSU team involved in, much less a championship game. One day later, that piece of shite effort deserves criticism.

This is why we don't put up stupid statues. There will never be a coach we will truly love.
As for JL, if he did have personal issues, I think he would have been man enough to say I respect coach's decision. I am not buying this story.
As for Miles, if he didn't want JL in the game for whatever reasons. shite put Mett in. Anyone would have done better then JJ

I questioned his overall handling of JL even a bit last year. But, this year, it was absolutely a gross case of poor character.
So enlighten us. Why did he "handle" JL the way he did? to impune his character, certainly you have some idea of his motives....what are they?

I agree... Miles fed us the bullshite all season on how this was a two QB system, As soon as Jefferson came back with Lee being red hot and LSU finally having some form or fashion of an offense since 2007 we were all told how Jefferson needs to play because it's a two QB system. Yet we watched as Jefferson played more and more and Lee never saw the field but to kneel.
And as always with Miles and his coach speak we listened to his reasons and wants of having Lee in the game but it never happened because the offense was starting slow. Funny thing is when Lee was the starter we didn't have this slow starting problem and Jefferson saw his snaps. In fact it was Jefferson's fault more so than not of the weak slow moving offense. Teams quit trying to defend our wrs deep and brought extra men into the box to stop our run and force Jefferson to beat them which he couldn't. Game after game teams started figuring him out.
Arkansas started it off and UGA exploited him. They ran the same type of defense as Bama with less talent and coaching. Jefferson has always been horrible passing the ball and yet he was suppose to be a pocket passer, Looks like LSU did the best they could with him by turning him into a runner. His mechanics have always been bad and his tendency to stare down wrs or run has always reared its ugly head. Pressure Jefferson and he gets rattled easy, He makes mistakes and blames his team for them. Take him out and he pouts on the sideline instead of trying to be a team player and figure out what the defense is doing. Our offense has sucked for years under Jefferson. We have had horrible QB play for the past 4 years.
Lee was decent his freshman yr but turned it over alot, Something he worked on and improved from season to season not to mention we lacked a defense that year. We should have stuck with Lee then the same as we should have now. Miles for whatever reason unknown to man has rode the Jefferson train all the way. Lee makes a mistake and he is yanked so fast your head will spin, Jefferson screws up and never leaves the field. Least with Lee in you score points and open things up... Jefferson barely moved the chains. If he wasn't running or handing off thats it. No passing threat down field what so ever. And teams knew it, They played for the run 99% of the time against Jefferson. Hell Miles knew Jefferson couldnt pass so he ran screen after screen all night which never worked. They waited for the run and everything short. And being cute with the options to Ware and Hillard were wasted plays. Ford up the middle really? LSU looked nothing like itself all year, Miles claims it was too loud in the Dome like he has never been there failing to mention this was our backyard and we already won in BDS. Jefferson and Miles have all the excuses in the world but the right ones. Miles screwed LSU and Lee by riding him on the pine and forcing Jefferson down the throats of us as always with the same result. fricking insanity

How can ShortyRob take his opinion too far?
You have had a right to your opinion that JJ was a good QB...an opinion I have never shared...why do people that don't agree with you have no right to their opinion?
I decided last season that Miles had no character when it became clear to me (and many others) that JL had outplayed JJ clearly but was still only brought in to save the day.
One of the most important things a major college football coach has to do is put his personal feelings aside when it comes to who gets to play. The best player should always get the lionshare of the reps...period. Not following this rule-of-thumb is unfair to every player that works their arse off all season, every assistant coach that works 20 hr days, and every fan that has to pay ridiculous ticket prices and surcharges to support the program.
The last several games have been an abomination in this regard. Any other coach in America would have played JL in the 1st half of the SECCG, and would have made a change last night...that is if JL was not already the starter before those games began. Lat night, if JL was not the answer, then Mett or Randall should have gotten a chance.
It is almost not possible for a QB to play worse than JJ has in the last two games.
No player or fan that is complaining is taking anything to far after what Miles did last night. He essentially threw in the towel in the 3rd quarter out of pure pig-headedness, and yes, likely a lack of character.

Wouldn't wanta be privy to the situation (no pun intended). There's def something going on between HC and starting QB.

It's simple. I've been an LSU fan for my whole life. I'm 44 so yep, that includes some REALLY frickING LEAN years. I endured Hallman. I endured Dinardo. I know bad. I can cheer through bad.
With Miles, I've always had lingering doubts but you just can't argue with Ws and Ls. Those numbers are on his side. And, I fully expect that to continue for the most part.
But, what died for me is this. Until the last two years and more importantly, until the last half of this season, I always really LIKED Miles. I mean, he just comes off as awfully likable and someone you'd like to know.
Sure, I questioned his overall handling of JL even a bit last year. But, this year, it was absolutely a gross case of poor character. And that's what's died for me. I will continue to be a huge LSU fan as I've been for all of at last 35 yrs of memory. But I'll be cheering for a team where I have no respect for the coach.
He can win and I'm sure he will. But he cannot earn that respect back. I'm sure he doesn't care about my respect and that's fine. But, it's gone nonetheless and I am 100% certain that I'm not alone.
I've looked at other teams and wondered what it's like to be a huge fan of a team with a coach of low character. What's that like Arky fans I would think? Well, now I'm going to be forced to answer that question myself.
frick YOU MILES.

I lost something last night too. This LSU debacle started with the dismissal of RP. This qb drama, clock management, play calling....we've endured this for the last 4 years. We all stuck in there. CLM is our coach and we stuck by him, but there was something that just wasn't right. It finally appeared to many of us last night. We've been so close the last 4 years. Just a few plays away each year. We thought last night just might be it. We stayed with it. I have nothing bad to say about CLM's character. I think he's a good man. But I have never, ever thought he was a coach that could get us there. It showed last night in the Big Show. We were embarassed. I still support the team, always will. Hopefully he learned something last night. We'll find out in September. Most of us know the "eyeball" test. If we get more of the same in September, in 2-3 years he'll be gone.

It's a football game. Get some perspective. It's been almost 24 hours. Time to move on.

100% with you. I was hoping for the dream season his good assistant had put together, but always feared the incompetent part of his coaching could raise it's ugly head. Last night topped the cake. I am a embarrassed LSU Fan, and I hate to my core what he has done to Jaret Lee and other kids, Sheppard and I could go on. Last night T Bob Hebert didn't play. Yet Miles let him play injured in regular season, just to sit him out last night. That is pure evil.

Never should have signed RP. Huge mistake and I hated that signing because I hate de-commits among top-rated players.
They mostly end up as low character players imo.
