Been to parkway a couple of times...don't really get the hype. Their roast beef is bland to me

Where should I try next? Mahoney's?

Mahoneys is good. Bring your gold bouillon.

I prefer Tracey's over Mahoney's. Only a few blocks away from each other. Consider eating smalls of each and reporting back which one is best.

I also prefer Radostas over Parkway's roast beef.

parkway bakery--best in my opinion

eta: but if you want something different, try the cochon at cajun mike's (across from roosevelt). it's full of deliciousness pork, not beef.

THe people that used o own Parasol's now own Tracey's. THe new Parasol's is owned by people from Florida.

My personal favorite is R&O's, either the straight roast beef poboy or the R&O special

If he doesn't like Parkway, he's not going to like Tracey's.

I think one of the food critics for the Times-Picayune is currently on a quest for the best roast beef po-boy.

Not sure what your "beef" is with Parkway, but next time in the quarter, try Verte Mart's Roast Beef.

I had one at Crabby Jack's last week and I thought it was good. All RB PoBoy's require a generous dose of hot sauce IMO.

Johnny's would probably have a good one. Every other poboy I've had there was money.
