For a kids school function but it will be adults eating. I can't remember the last time or if I've ever made many. It's the straw I drew so I'd like to go beyond the typical. I'm thinking different loaves from Whole Foods and do like pastrami, corned beef, a good turkey, different mustards, leave the crusts on etc...

About four loaves of bread cut into fourths should be enough.

Any suggestions?

love these at a party. I have always had them with mayo, honey ham, and sweet relish. They are always a hit and don't last long.

Make sure you have your supply of Mydol and Vagisil handy.

Okay. Shitty joke. I apologize and have no useful suggestions.

Turkey, ham and roast beef. Keep it simple.

Go call Holsum, and find out where to buy a Pullman loaf, you will thank me later. It will avoind a whole lot of crust removal per unit.

i'd keep it simple if I were you. And if you choose to go that way then I'd just buy the tray. It's more work for you to make them and you'd get the same thing if you had Calvin's or Ambrosia, etc do it.

We used to get a big box-o-finger sandwiches from Southern Belle at work, and we'd attack that box like crazy people. I'm glad we didn't know then what we know now about SB.

Anywho, finger sandwiches must be on white bread, and you must have these 4 options.

roast beef & mayo
chicken salad
ham & mayo
pimento cheese

Those 4 are the Holy Trinity of finger sandwiches.

Since it is for adults only I would go in the direction you are thinking. I would leave the crust on rustic bread as well.

Make basil mayo and use it on bread with slice tomatoes and even a little fresh mozz if you want, but I think just the tomato and basil mayo would be good.
