Present or past, doesn't matter. I remember feeling pretty sad when I saw Walter Matthau had passed away(I believe it was during the Oscars).
To you, Walter.

Not exactly an actor, but I was sad to hear of Steve Irwin's death. I know he did a lot of dangerous stuff, but he always seemed somewhat invincible.

As a person who never missed a first-run airing of The West Wing (and as a guilty-pleasure fan of The Rock) I was sad to hear when John Spencer died at the beginning of the 7th season of TWW.

Cher
Mmm. I get choked up just thinking about it. God I'm gonna miss him. He was such a good singer.

When it happens, Eastwood, Freeman, and Murray will be the only ones that really sadden me.

Peter Boyle. He was money in Everybody Loves Raymond. Great in Young Frankenstein.

Good character actor that most people didn't know his name.

This. I was in high school, but, was a huge fan.
Also, kind of obscure, but, Trey Wilson. Played the coach in Bull Durham and Nathan Arizona in Raising Arizona. Was money in both.
