I decided to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon of next week. The crowds shouldn't be as bad.

I understand. I thought about going this afternoon. Called the theater and they had 20 seats left. So I decided to put it off.

Movie was excellent.

Ron is great. . .Dobby is finally made significant. . .Luscious Malfoy gave the best performance, which surprised me.

I don't know how Helena Bonham Carter keeps getting work. She sucks. She should have been re-cast

I thought his limited time on screen were the most tense.

He nailed it.

I thought Helena Bonham Carter was a perfect choice for Bellatrix.

Bellatrix is a completely off the reservation... absolutely bat-shite character. She's great for the role.

Now, this was a good Potter movie, but moms... PLEASE... leave the kids under 5 at home. Seriously. It should be child abuse to take kids that young to a movie as dark and as long as this one. There were two little girls and an oblivious mom sitting next to me at the theater last night, and it was obvious they wanted to go home. Mom just sat there like a damned statue.

Parents... STUDY THE frickING MOVIE before you drag your kid to it!

saw the movie last night and really enjoyed it. this is an extremely dark film and i salute the filmmakers for not kidding it up. it sets up the final movie very well.

Helena Bonham Carter is great. Nobody else would have been able to pull of crazy Bellatrix.

I went on Friday at 330. The theater was almost empty. Then when we got out at 6 there was a line for the movie that had to be 100 people.

No Potter movie after Azkhaban should be seen by young children.

My son is 8, and he can't see after GoF.

Back to the review.

HBC could be replaced by any number of actresses. She acts completely cartoony to the point of campiness. I find myself more annoyed when she is on the screen rather than angered or tense(which should be the response).

That said, Delores Umbridge delivers yet again. She brings the visceral emotional response when she is on screen. Bellatrix should do the same, but she just doesn't.

HBC doesn't come off as crazy. . .she just comes off as trashy.

Eh, she doesn't bother me.

Overall I really enjoyed the movie. The only gripes I have are over small things that don't really matter in the scope of the movie anyway, just in how it relates to the book. Can't wait for the next one, should be epic.

Just got back, thought they did a really good job with it. Really glad they decided to split it, it still felt a bit rushed so i cant imagine if they had made it in one movie. I dont have any issues with HBC, i think she does a good job as Bellatrix. Jason Isaacs as Lucious was money as always.

She wasn't the first choice. The woman who plays Draco's mom was the first, but couldn't do it because she was doing another movie.

The part that really got to me was when the Muggle Study teacher from Hogwarts was hanging over the table at Voldermorts and she just kept begging for Snape's help
