The part that really got to me was when the Muggle Study teacher from Hogwarts was hanging over the table at Voldermorts and she just kept begging for Snape's help

True to the book.

I can't imagine what went through Snape's soul watching that.

SPOILER

After watching this movie, the difference between 1-6 and 7 is light and day. I think the darkness of the film sunk in on the opening scene when hermione removes herself from her parents memory and voldemort murdering burbage. great film cant wait for part 2 to come out.

**SPOILERS INVOLVED WITH THIS POST**

Alright, I can't be the only person who didn't think this movie was that good. Don't get me wrong, it had some decent scenes. Hermione wiping her parents' memories, Charity Burbage getting tortured and killed, and especially the the visit to Bathilda Bagshot's house. Those were the scenes which definitely stuck out to me. There were other good moments interspersed though. Also, I'm not sure what the consensus is on the portrayal of the three brothers story, but I actually liked the shift from reality to animation. The escape from the ministry was also pretty intense.

Overall though, I thought that movie was disappointing and incredibly boring at times. I found myself yawning a pretty good bit during the movie and wishing it would start moving along.

Maybe I shouldn't be mad about that though. I normally hate when movies stray from the book, and the first half of book 7 was pretty boring.

Another thing which annoyed me was the constant over-explaining of things and the random moments when they would notice something important. It never happened mid dialogue. To me, it always seemed to just be a random moment when someone would just blurt out some important fact that they had forgotten or just remembered.

I felt that they kept pretty strongly to the story though, which was good. Some things they did change, and I'm wondering how it will affect the next movie. Wormtail was supposed to die in this one. I wonder how that will change the story.

Overall, it was alright in my book. Out of 10, I would probably give it a 8.2, which is still a B I guess.

p.s. Were there people crying in your theater when Dobby died? There were about 30 people in mine that were bawling.

I felt myself on the verge of tears on this scene also. Couldn't believe I got emotional over a lil elf dying(I have never even read the books) . Guess it was just cause after all the darkness in the movie you just love his optimism and how the little guy becomes the hero in the scene right before it(also his speech in the that same scene). You really root for him and then BAM, he's gone.

im pretty sure he took the eye. When he is walking out of the office it focuses on the door as he exits screen right and there is not an eye on the door anymore.

I can't wait for Neville to go medieval.

After completing the series, my favorite characters were Snape, Neville, and Mrs. Weasly.

wife and i were watching a bio thing on the HP series, and apparently at some point between movies 4 and 6 JK Rowling pulled Alan Rickman aside to tell him something that no one else was allowed to know. I think if you study Snape's mannerisms throughout these last few movies you can see the regret in his eyes. I think he is pulling it off perfectly.

but see..thats part of the problem i had with the last movie...it is no secret that Snape is really good in the movies....you can see it all over his face...in the books, you are given no indication that he is really good until the Princes tale chapter. I just didnt really like the way they did that..it takes something away from it..At least for me anyway

Agree. Movie Snape was never as bitter or mean as he wasto Harry in the books. Never loved Rickman's Snape
