I'm sure we'll have more items from Louisiana, but that's fine. I really don't care to break it down by categories like the tv show.

Just post the dish name and the restaurant it came from. No home cooking allowed so we all have a chance to experience it.

Mine is the roasted oysters at Cochon. It simply has the right amount of everything....but it could use more oysters.

The first things that come to mind are the alligator chessecake from Jacque-Imos, charbroiled oysters from Drago's, and the foie gras trio from August.

That is very good, one of my favorite places.

The word "best" is extremely overused on this board, it is pointless. They'll grow out of it, I hope.

i don't think i can ever pick something like this out. it'd be like picking a favorite child. sure, each has its moment of glory and you think it doesn't get any better, but after a while you realize that there are multiple correct answers
