Flesh and Bone - Dennis Quaid, Meg Ryan, James Caan, Gwenyth Paltrow
Brotherhood of the Wolf - French movie
The Corruptor, the Replacement Killers - two good Chow Yun Fat movies
The Way of the Gun - Ryan Phillipe, Benecio De Toro, James Caan
The Last Samurai - Tom Cruise
Unbreakable - M. Night's best work
Romeo is Bleeding - Gary Oldman, Lena Olin
Man on Fire - doesn't receive much love except among on boards like this
Nightwatch, Daywatch - two great Russian movies, different from the books but good on their own
Crimson Rivers - Russian murder mystery, very creepy

Mine is "Hoosiers."
My dad was a high school basketball coach in the late 50's and early 60's. He coached in small, country schools. I had pestered him for years to watch the movie, but he kept blowing me off. Finally bought him a DVD of it, and he sat there enthralled at how realistic it was.
