If you don't mind a nice drive down US 98 toward Santa Rosa Beach, try the Smiling Fish Cafe. There is an inside eatery as well as umbrellas and tables outside for a breezy evening beer and fish sammich. The owners boast an Auburn/LSU flag at the hostess' stand and the staff is very friendly.

We were further down in Sandestin area. I liked Rum Runners a lot.

Guglielmo's on U.S. 98 in the old part of Destin. Good atmosphere, Italian, seafood, and steaks/chops. Slightly pricy, but affordable.
Karma, whassa matter u? You were there June 11!

The back Porch or lucky snapper is cool in the evenings.

Went last year and got a couple of small, I mean small, crabcakes and fries for $19.00. I don't go out to eat in Destin anymore. None of the restaurants are worth what you pay. We cook in the condo now.

We ate at the Pat O's down there. It was nice. We went right after we rode the Seablaster and sat on the patio, so it was very casual. It's kid friendly and not that expensive. The food was very good.
