The ones sitting are usually old and grumpy and should be sitting in the living room watching the game there. A football game isn't for you people to sit and watch and whisper to your life partner about the last play. I have been going to tigers games my entire life and will not sit down. When the day comes where I can't stand, I will be in my living room cheering, not taking up the space of some fan who really wants to make Tiger Stadium what is has been long before your wrinkly arse got in there.

the day that i sit down at an LSU football game is the day i am too old and decrepit to even make it into the stadium

I'm in my 40's so I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. Also, my collie doesn't mind it so its ok.

there should be a box you can check when you request tickets - sit or stand? Then they could be grouped. It'll probably result in a pretty cool acoustic arrangement in the stadium. And by that I mean all the cheering and noise coming from the standing section and a bunch of nothing coming from section "lame"

jk, people in the normal sections can do as they please..student section however...

did you know a group of students got together and petitioned to have a sit-down rule instituted in the student section? They succeeded in getting a sit-down section...

Maybe I'm just opposed to standing the ENTIRE game because it's what the nazis at Texas A&M do. You guys would love it there due to the "required" standing recommendation/rule. However they also yell at you for not taking your hat off during a game too, so who knows.

I usually sit until a big play is going off or someone stands up in front of me.

I don't stand the whole game, either...I do for the reason above. Leroy would be in the WUD telling people to stand up and cheer. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

Stand! A few years ago at the LSU vs. AU game my brother and I had seats in the upper deck on the 2nd to top row. We were standing for the Opening Kickoff!! and the people behind us started bitching. We asked them to switch with us and they refused b/c they "paid for those seats"!! Politeness on my part didn't last long and needless to say I didn't get to see much of the game from inside the stadium.

It's bad enough to disagree on whether or not to stand for a game or sit for the game, but I can recall being near an argument that started over which seat the students are supposed to stand on: the one you sit your butt on at halftime or the one in front of you. Talk about beating a tar baby.

Student Section = Stand

Suites/Stadium Club = stand for big plays and sit for the others ( we can't spill our alcohol that we didn't have to sneak in)

All other sections = hey, it's a free country. I'm not a big fan of people who stand the whole game, but that's his seat and I'm in mine. I just grin and bear it.
