quote:So they go to an LSU football game? That's like saying they want some peace and quiet so they go to a JayZ concert where they keep asking people to quit making so much noise!
want to sit and relax

quote:Simple fact of physiology; standing=more noise. The human body is not designed where it can generate as much vocal volume in the seated position as it can while standing. Thus standing equals more noise, sitting equals less noise. If you want more sitting, you want a quieter Tiger Stadium. QED.
And WHOLE LOTTA NOISE!

quote:They absolutely can . . . by showing up, making as much noise and standing up as much as their weakened state allows, and sitting when they have to, and by encouraging others to show their fandom and excercise their own vigorous support for the Tigers; rather than hurting the support shown for the Tigers in their home stadium by forcing zealous fans to sit down and thus reduce their ability to make noise. THAT is a failure to show your support for the Tigers; when you allow your own frailties to impede others' shows of support.
It's a bummer that some shouldn't be able to show their support for the Tigers when their bodies can't support the religion of their fandom anymore...

As you should be.
quote:Hypocrisy at its best. Other people standards for when you should stand and when you should sit are "rude" and "incosiderate" and the conduct of "douchebags"; but when HE thinks it's time to stand up, frick the little old lady behind him who can't stand up on 4th and goal in the last minute of the Florida game.
yes, you should be standing at this point.
Bottom line, either a person is within the bounds of reasonable consideration to decide for themselves when they should be able to stand and when they should have to sit, or they are completely at the whim of those whose view would be obstructed regardless of situation. To argue that you have some standard for a "big play" that entitles you to decide that you have the right to stand up, but denounce someone else for making the exact same determination for themselves and their seat in the name of "inconsideration" is the epitome of hypocrisy.
