Nuss was a top 10 pick last season and threw it away for a chance at a National Championship
Same as Matt Lineart at USC (it cost him not this much)
If any of you have sons or a coach to player w/ a chance at a legit chance at a 1st round pick encourage them to go , go now!

I know Nuss is going to be in the bread line, but he cost himself 4 to 5 years and a vested membership into the NFL and all the perks that has along w/ 45 million dollars.

If only his parents were qualified to have insight to the risk/reward.

When did Nuss have a chance to go first round?

He would've gone higher but he wouldn't have been a 1st rd pick last year either. He was coming off a better season but even fewer starts and all the concerns about size, mobility, decision making were still there.

Nuss had an arm last year. Nuss's injury caused Kelly to get fired and has made Nuss fall in this draft.

No he fricking was not. If he was he would have left.

Top 10 for a gunslinger with an average gun and no mobility?

He probably got word that the scouts weren’t look for a undersized pocket QB, who absolutely refused to ever run the ball, and constantly put the ball in harms way in some of the most important points of the game.

LINK

I’ve seen plenty of projections where preseason Nuss was not only 1st rounder was 1st pick.

This outcome is more "ball don't lie"

A 5th year starter with poor offseason work ethic (somehow, a coach's son), shitty command of the offense for how experienced he is, zero sense of pocket awareness, athleticism consistent with a statue, and stubbornness to stay in games below the health standard a team needs of their QB (assuming he isn't fully of shite about the cyst on multiple fronts) isn't going to see 4-5 years on a roster. He's going to be chewed up

Sucks for him but his slide is the correct and righteous outcome

He was PROJECTED preseason. He was never a top 10 pick last year. The projections assumed he would take a step up from 2024. But the combo of a spinal cyst and a porous OL had the opposite effect and he will now be selling insurance.

How did those predictions just now play out?

How did they play out for Shadeur?

He was a 2nd or 3rd rounder last year, would have still interviewed poorly and probably slid

Nuss probably interviewed better than most. He’s a smart, respectful kid. That’s not why he’s dropped in the draft

Y’all really need to stop attacking players’ characters who don’t live up to your expectations of them on the field. Just because they weren’t good players IYO doesn’t make them all around bad people. Stop taking poor play so personally

You're not gaslighting us, Doug. This is all documented. Blow it out your arse

How anyone can argue against this with the 7th round now underway is actually shocking. Like this is basic stuff

There was a total of zero mock drafts having him as a 1st rd pick much less top 10 pick last year. If NFL teams would have told him 1 st rd he would have been gone. Quit making shite up.

Kelly got himself fired … partly due to how he failed to manage the QB position.

So he was still a 3rd maybe 4th rd pick last year.

You are assuming the media types who predict draft order were correct. Had they been correct this year wouldn’t Nuss already have been drafted?
