Nuss was never it, I know most don’t want to hear it. He sat and waited his turn, but he was the never the guy you just described.
You have dudes from ND and Rutgers college getting dragged over him.

Does quitting on your teammates leaving Jontre Kirklin to slaughter count against one's character? Does in my book. Hes weak and selfish. Nepo baby version of Jarrett Lee who I'd take over him every time.

Nuss' goal should be to find a way to be in the league for 4 yrs. 3 to get in but 4 or more for a better pension supplement. Hope he got a good degree or is planning to follow his dad as a coach in the NFL.

The guy has a cannon but he is a statue who nibbles on the sideline rather than far away in the middle of the field that was my problem with him.
I was shocked when some prognosticators suggested he could be a top overall pick. That never made any sense

Nuss was not a top 10 pick and he ended up making way more money last year than he would have if he entered the draft.

wrong there was a couple of articles that mentioned him as a potential top overall pick
I'm not saying it was an official mock draft but it was like a CBS Sports article

Y’all really need to stop attacking players’ characters who don’t live up to your expectations of them on the field. Just because they weren’t good players IYO doesn’t make them all around bad people. Stop taking poor play so personally
Nothing morally wrong with shitting on a guy as highly paid as him for not training as hard or even using the VR system consistently used by his Heisman winning predecessor
He has not done anything to warrant freedom from accountability

I also saw he was rated the third QB in the draft by the talking heads; didn’t work out that way did it? They don’t know. NFL teams guard their draft board with their lives.

Nuss probably interviewed better than most. He’s a smart, respectful kid. It’s been widely reported that he did not lift weights (was said he was shockingly out of shape) or just the VR system over the summer after his junior year.
This reeks of entitlement and lack of caring about getting better for himself or his team.
I said nothing about his play (although that was awful as well) so do you know him personally to be able to speak to the fact that he is a “smart and respectful kid”.

This is probablyit. Had he not been told not to run in 2024, he is likely a first round draft choice last year.

No thanks. Some value the experience more. Plus they are still paid pretty well.

I know Nuss is going to be in the bread line, but he cost himself 4 to 5 years and a vested membership into the NFL and all the perks that has along w/ 45 million dollars.
He waited his turn to start. He wanted to be back.

I’ve seen plenty of projections where preseason Nuss was not only 1st rounder was 1st pick.
Show us some of those projections for last year's draft because the one you linked only links to an article from August 2025 and relates to what people thought about him going into this season. It has nothing to do with last year's draft.
