USPS delivery drivers are lazy AF

We have several houses on our street who have kids with cara and thus the kids park their cars in the street.
I was talking to some of my neighbors about I haven’t seen Mail at all this week, turns out neither have they.
Well, the lazy AF delivery driver has not been getting out of her mail truck to put mail in the mailboxes if there’s a car in front of the mailbox so she’s making everybody go up to the actual post office to get our shite.
The way we found out is from an update on USPS parcel tracking said that the driver driver had no access to the delivery address. Not everybody had parcels, but we all had the same problem so we just figured it out that this was happening.
Went up to the post office today, and sure as shite had a nice bundle of mail waiting for me.
I will take another instance of “That’s not my job” Alex, for $1,000.

Gubment employees for you. What are they gonna get fired?

Why would you expect mail to be delivered to your mailbox if there’s a car parked in front of it?

I mean at least the excuse is legit.
They use that here even if the mailbox is wide open.
Tell the kids to get their cars the hell out of the way.

I’m with the USPS driver on this one. Should’ve punched out the windows like firemen do when you park in front of a hydrant.

Isn’t it illegal to park in front of mailboxes and fire hydrants? Talk smack about government workers all you want but don’t let the idiot kids park in the street.

Is the driver skipping all the houses or just the blocked mailboxes?
If it's the former, that sucks.
If it's the latter, that's on you. Park in the yard.

Does the garbage man pick up your can if it's blocked by a vehicle?

My regular USPS postal carrier is awesome, former Navy. guy who goes out of his way to make sure we get our stuff. If there is an issue, he takes care of us. He is A+.

Get your damn vehicles away from the mailboxes. This isn’t difficult to understand.

He wasn’t even directly in front of it. He was off to the side. She just didn’t wanna get out of her little Mail truck.

This might be the biggest “I’m a loser” OP post ever

Multiply that by how many boxes are on her route...

Not only that, but if you keep getting mail, you don't have an impetus to fix the issue.

There's a specific flag on "inaccessible mail box" on why mail won't be delivered. They specifically have the driver's side on the wrong side to enable delivery from the seated position.
Get your f'ing cars out of the way or get a PO box. Or have stamps cost $1.25 a pop. Make a choice GumbeauxGuy. If you have a garbage service with automated collection, do you expect the driver to get out of the truck and manually load your can if your baby sitter's car is parked too close?
OP moved into an older neighborhood where they're not required to have "community" mailboxes. That was the good old days, but parking on the street is trashy AF anyway.

It's illegal to park in front of mailboxes. You and your neighbors are the jackasses here and not (for once) the USPS.

our postal worker abandoned her truck in front of my house. A few days later, my neighbors asked if I was friends with the mail lady and was she staying with me because it's unusual to have a truck abandoned at your house. We had to call the US post office and leave a message with several people before someone local finally called me that they were going to tow the truck. They had no idea it was missing until we reported it.

1. Don't block mailboxes.
2. They actually are supposed to skip blocked or downed mailboxes. Im not taking up for them, because alot of them are lazy, but to blame them on this is actually incorrect.
