Justice was served. Unfortunately it took 36 years.

A Florida man who set his neighbor on fire after she found him burglarizing her home during her lunch break from work has been executed.
Chadwick Scott Willacy, 58, received a three-drug injection starting at 6pm at Florida State Prison near Starke for the 1990 killing of Marlys Sather. He was pronounced dead at 6:15pm. Sather's only son, John, was present during Tuesday's execution and watched Wallacy draw his final breath.
Willacy's last words were apologies to his family and friends along with words of encouragement to his 'brothers on the row.' Willacy maintained his innocence and said he would never kill his friend. 'To the victim's family, I hope this brings you peace. If it does, that's good,' he said. 'But this is not right.'
Court records indicate Sather had returned to her Palm Bay home for her lunch break on September 5, 1990, and found Willacy burglarizing her home.
He struck her in the head with a blunt object, fracturing her skull, and then bound her hands and ankles with wire and tape, according to investigators.
Willacy attempted to strangle Sather with a telephone cord, and when that didn´t work, he doused her in gasoline and set her on fire.
An autopsy determined that Sather had died from smoke inhalation, indicating she was still alive when she was set ablaze.
Willacy also stole Sather´s car and other items from her home, and used the woman´s ATM card to steal cash, officials said.
When Sather failed to return from her break, her employer caller her family. Her son-in-law went to check on her and found her body.

Why did it take 36 years to execute this evil man?

He wasn’t remorseful one bit with this statement

I guess they were expecting new evidence to come out after 35 years.
It's fricking retarded.

Stories like this make me question myself over my anti-death penalty stance.

If the races were reversed we would have known about this years ago.
Oh well, this will piss off our progressive friends and neighbors. Can't be killing the foot soldiers like that.

So this isn’t a new phenomenon of them killing and harming whites. Not surprised. He would not have been found competent to stand trial today. The many benefits of being a member of the darkness.

And why was he allowed to just go to sleep when his victim died in agony?

Are you asking why I question my position of being against the death penalty or why I'm against the death penalty in general?
I'm against the death penalty because although there are absolute savage animals out there who do unspeakable things to other human beings, I just don't believe humans should ever determine in a pre-meditated way that another human should die. That should be left up to God.
This doesn't even touch the issue of many innocent people on death row who are put to death for crimes they didn't commit. The world just saw a former president get charged with and convicted of 34 felony charges brought on by really shady methods and truth-stretching - if that could happen to him, how easy do you think it would be for a DA and state prosecutor who have their minds made up that a regular man or woman like us is guilty to convince others they are as well?
All that said, if someone I love is God forbid ever the victim of a heinous crime, it would be difficult for me to resist the undeniably massive urge to take matters into my own hands in a fit of rage.
Being against the death penalty is tough for me sometimes, but I know it's the way God intended.
I'm also against abortion for the same reason.

Good thing is, in Florida, this motherfricker’s voting days are over.

Except that’s exactly what murderers do.
As someone whose family was directly impacted by both brutal murders, as well as the death penalty (fricking 18 years later), stories like this disgust me. 36 years? Thirty fricking six?? That is egregiously terrible. But at least her son finally got to see justice meted out to the evil piece of shite who killed his mom. And yes, the death penalty does bring closure and relief to the families of the victims. Death row should have a time limit on it, and the appeals process needs a violent overhaul.

Check out Singapore's appeal process, if you haven't. They do not frick around if you are sentenced to death.

I guess most don't know this but they are allowed to appeal it up to like 5 times and just one appeal can take years. Also some would rather be executed than life in prison but even when they don't appeal, states still take forever to go through with it.
