Please don't say wait until it's over , I think we realize it's over already unless a miracle occurs.

This may be the most disappointing season since Smoke

I expect there to be changes.

I don’t have any clue if that is personnel (coaching) changes or just changes to their process, game prep, offseason, etc.

it was gonna be a roster overhaul with the number of seniors and those that are draft eligible anyway

I think you are a fool.

While the season has obviously been a disappointment, you’d have to be a moron to not realize the ridiculous success we have had up til this year.

Calling for the heads of coaches is moronic.

Need a new hitting coach imho. Pitching coach has done well enough to keep his job.

Seems to recently be putting the blame on himself for the formation of the roster. I doubt he is considering this season the fault of his assistant coaches.

Since 2008, LSU has earned the right to host a home regional all but 6 of those seasons (not counting Covid).

3 of the 6 have come in Jay's 5 seasons as head coach at LSU. The ceiling under Jay has been amazing, but the floor has got to improve.

STFU. If we win 3 natties in the next 10 years I don't care if we didn't to a super or even a regional those other 7. I don't wanna be Arky.

LSU baseball has always turned a profit because we usually host regional and super regional play here at the Box. I don't care what excuse people use for this season, 2026 LSU baseball is not woefully underfunded. Perhaps a few teams were able to outbid us, but LSU is without a doubt one of the top 8 funded programs in the nation. To have this disatrous of a season, you can't just blame the revenue share. The talent has to get better, yes, but the coaches have to do their part as well.

It's blatantly retarded to complain about the floor when you have tasted the ceiling that we have.

If things continue exactly the way they have so far under Jay, are you really saying that something has to change? Really?

Your argument is about profit?

This is another way of saying the season was a disappointment. Everyone knows that. Everyone knows that the performance this year isn't something that can be the norm.

But, you said something very different. Are you running from your comments?

no way, he feels he's got a solid lineup in place and that they'll eventually gel

Not sure what you are asking.

I frimly stand that LSU should not be traveling for regional play 2 out of 4 years and missing the tournament altogether in year 5.

Man, every time I look at the rant I'm reminded we have some of the most stupid fans in all the world. This post and a few others in this thread alone are a reminder of that.

We just won a national title, lost a lot of players last year to the draft and graduation while also having our freshman class raided by the draft and you frickers want to fire coaches because we've had one down year. Pitiful.

I would seriously doubt it. This is still the same staff that won a Natty last year? Definitely need to re-evaluate how they assess talent and who they choose to go after. Sadly a lot like NFL Free Agency. Sometimes you miss.

If you ignore Paul’s first year, shouldn’t you ignore Jay’s first year?

And assuming I am not reading something wrong, Paul did not host a regional in 2007(didn’t make postseason), 2010(LA), 2011(didn’t make postseason), 2018,(Corvallis) and 2021(Eugene). That’s 5 times, 4 in the time frame you mentioned. 3 times in his first 5 but without 2 natties.

I mean, you'd probably be correct if it wasn't for the fact we've won 2 titles in that time frame.

But since we did win those titles, you just look like an idiot.

Jay ain't firing his guys outright. May see a few quietly move on to other schools.

I think there will be staff turnover, but not forced staff turnover.

We almost lost Josh Jordan to Duke last year, but because their lack of financial commitment to the program (not specifically his salary) he stayed at LSU for another year.

I think he will get another, better opportunity this offseason and take it.
