It’s ok to admit at this point in the season Jay is simply underperforming.

As the Head Coach.

We certainly give him credit when he wins us Championships, so I believe we are at a point we can be honest critics and say that he and other coaches haven’t gotten the best out of this team in anyway shape or form.

There is a little more season left, but this hopefully ends being a very hard lesson for Jay and staff that whatever motions and things they did in the offseason to get ready for the year including player evaluations, has been a complete failure so far in 26’.

Was very much looking forward to watching baseball this year after Football and basketball season fiascos, and then I found that today when I woke up I was more interested our gymnastics outcome.

That is a sad Baseball Saturday feeling for any LSU man to have in his heart.

Even he would say that

He's still the best coach in the country that just had an off year

Isn’t that what he basically said last night?

It’s ok to have down years in baseball. Especially after winning a natty, but I always expect us to be decent/good. Hosting a regional or being a high seed. This season is well beyond that

I won’t argue with you on that after a down season like this, but I’d like some serious improvements next year after lessons learned or I might suggest otherwise.

Yep. It's not even enough for some fans when he admits it.

Sorry I don’t hang on every interview he gives but I don’t doubt he is the first in line to admit all the failures.

Any sports are like life, the good times and bad times, plus there is always a challenge to learn your craft and get better.

I trust a guy like Jay to get it figured out.

Neither do I. But it was all over this board moreso than others I've seen. He said it won't happen again

This season he and the whole team have underperformed.

What’s wrong with that statement?

Jay’s program won 2 national championships.

What would you like him to change now?

They evaluated talent poorly this year. I’m sure he has some takeaways for the future but that’s pretty much it.

Your thread is dumb btw

Because they are losers who only find success in their lives through LSU athletics. You cant lose serious talent and reload in one off-season with any regularity. He could win it again in 2028 and people will be crying in April of 2029 if the team has a losing SEC record.

I don’t think he’s underperforming in a day to day basis.

That’s what emotional disappointed fans say to cope.

This team is not good. I think Jay knew it early. When he started complaining about commitment to baseball I think he already was trying to figure out what it was going to take to fix this.

I trust JJ, but I believe losing Wes Johnson after the 2023 season hurt, and he certainly has Georgia playing at a high level.

With the amount of money spent by LSU on baseball, we should never be a bubble team or missing a playoff.

Which statement? The one in the thread title or the one in your response? They’re two entirely different propositions.

But we were told this is the most talented team he’s ever had and that’s the problem
