Is Bose better than Sonos or are they about the same? Wanting to add one for a larger room for tv. Or is there another brand that you prefer.

Sound is physics. Number and size of the speakers will matter far more than the brand. What’s your target price?

I have 3 Sonos sound bars, mostly because of how easy it is to use my phone and play music from them.

The sound is perfectly suitable for me.

Sanus makes TV mounts that incorporate the Sonos sound bar underneath your TV. It's a very clean look.

Whichever brand you go with, satellite speakers & a sub make a huge difference. Very happy with Sonos but it wasn't cheap.

Check CNet reviews. They test and rank them a tell you what’s good and what’s not.

For those with a Roku TV, Roku makes a small ($89; bedroom size) and regular ($150; living room) sound bar that are wireless (power cord only) and work only with Roku TVs.

I bought the bigger one for my older relative who had trouble hearing the voices/dialog (don't we all), and it does a great job overall and particularly with the voices.

I have a full blown surround system that cost a lot more, and it's not as good in the voices department even with center channel dialed to the max.

Remember Modern Music up there at Poplar and Brookhaven Circle? There was also Underground Sound. Another good one was Opus II. Spent way too much money at Modern Music.

You really can’t go wrong with either but, do you already have other Sonos speakers? If so, go Sonos and add it to your System.

I have an LG soundbar with subwoofer along with my LG TV. I love it. It’s Dolby atmos and sounds great. I used to have full surround sound Bose system but speakers mounted in the wall limit moving around furniture for optimal sound. Samsung also makes a good soundbar Just make sure it has a sub. Also I’ve bad experience with wireless subs. The Bluetooth connection was not good

Really depends. For example, if you have a Samsung Q series tv, their Q series soundbars integrate the tv speakers into the surround system.

For a “general” system, Klipsch is also good.

We have a JBL sound bar that has an 8 inch subwoofer in the corner and it sounds amazing

We keep the bass about 60% or else our house will rattle…. I think we paid around $600 for the set up, the sound bar is very crisp clear and loud and the subwoofer is a nice pure clean bass

Wait and buy them from two guys driving in a white delivery van in a random grocery store parking lot, if you’re looking for a legit deal.
