You guys are obligated by papal decree to abandon antisemitism.

quote:

The landmark document Nostra Aetate (Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions) fundamentally reshaped this relationship.

Key Obligations and Shifts from Vatican II
Rejection of Collective Guilt: The Council formally repudiated the "deicide" charge—the idea that Jews as a whole, then or now, were responsible for the death of Jesus.
Condemnation of Antisemitism: The Church "decries hatred, persecutions, displays of anti-Semitism, directed against Jews at any time and by anyone".
Affirmation of God’s Covenant: Vatican II affirmed that God’s covenant with the Jewish people remains valid and has not been "canceled" or "cursed".
Foster Mutual Understanding: Catholics are urged to engage in "fraternal dialogues" and "biblical and theological studies" with Jews to build mutual knowledge and esteem.
Social Justice Collaboration: Later guidelines, such as those from the Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews, emphasize that Jews and Catholics should work together for "social justice and peace at every level".

What if I told you the "Jews" in Israel aren't actually "Semites" but a majority of them are of European Ashkenazi decent?

Alot of the "Jews" in Biblical times converted to Christianity once God showed to them who it was that they killed.

Antisemite and Anti Zionist are two different things.

The very fact that you cannot criticize Israel without about a dozen asshats jumping down your throat calling you an anti-semite is enough to plainly see that there is some sort of nefarious agenda afoot. People do not act like this when it comes to any other nations government in the world. That if you criticize the actions of a government you are labeled a racist. It is absurd. And it makes me despise the Israeli government even more.

Who thought the Jews, as a whole, were responsible for the death of Jesus ? Did the Jews use crucifixion as the state form of execution?

That seems to go against Vatican II, even though Vatican II seems to go against prior church history.

I've never been anti-semitic. It's not something I was taught. It's always been my preferance to hang around people with high IQs. All of my Jewish classmates in HS and college were very smart....except one. I asked one of my Jewish friends about that one. He said: 'Oh, he's the only stupid Jew in town.'

This isn't a Catholic vs other Christian denomination thing!
The Catholic Catechism teaches that a nation should accept immigrants to it's own ability and within it's pre determined laws.
Catechism also teaches that stronger countries shouldn't simply attack weaker countries without consideration and reason.
Trump's actions on both topics haven't gone against the Catholic Churches teaching.
The pope and his progressive cardinals need to stick to religion and let Trump stick to fulfilling his role as POTUS.
As the majority of American voters have elected him to do.

Back at cha! Go read the book of Acts and tell us about baptism......

Those who walked with Jesus, witnessed his miracles, sat at his feet and listened to his words, even Peter YOUR first pope.... stated that a person should be baptized "in the name of Jesus Christ ". Acts 2:38

Why doesn't the Catholic Church do this?

There are sooooooo many other examples. I HAVE READ THE GOSPELS, ACTS, AND THE EPISTLES, I DO UNDERSTAND SON.

That’s not as fun. They won’t have the Muslims to align with this time so it shouldn’t take thirty years
