What a drain on society this person is. She has no concept of personal responsibility or shame.

If she were in China, her social credit system would be negative, and she would basically be kicked out of society yet here we reward her with $300K because that's cheaper for Carnival than paying attorneys to fight a frivolous lawsuit.

There should be ways for other business establishments to ban her from drinking at their place to avoid this

This went out the window a long time ago in this country. Nothing is anyone's fault anymore. You are morbidly obese? Not your fault. Homeless? Not your fault. An alcoholic/drug addict? Not your fault. Can't find a job? Not your fault. We've normalized abnormal behavior(s) in this country all to not hurt peoples 'feelings'.

She will blow that money and be falling on another cruise ship in a few years. Worthless.

There is a video out there of Young SS getting shitfaced and being escorted in a wheelchair to my room through the breakfast area at 9am. The video clip looped on the Cruise News for a couple days.

Where is my $300k?

14 shots over 8.5 hours is 2 shots an hour

“Large amount of alcohol”

2 drinks in 1 hour is just dinner.

2 drinks every hour for 8 hours is a large amount of alcohol.

Right

There was a shite faced lady at the Golden Nugget last week when I was there. She even spilled wine all over the Blackjack table, and I told the pit boss she was hammered. His response, "Believe it or not, they don't like to kick drunk people out." In other words, she was losing too much money.

In that case, I can kind of see the establishment sharing some blame, but not on a cruise ship where there are multiple places to get drinks over an 8.5-hour period. Was someone supposed to monitor her only out of the thousands of people on board?

14 shots in almost 9 hours are rookie level numbers for a lot of the nurses I know.

Stout, the only thing that could make this story better is if she got drunk on tequila she smuggled in herself in a shampoo bottle and still won the lawsuit.

Don't mistake that as some sort of implication of the cruise line. She's an adult, that's all on her.

I just think that's not a trivial amount of booze.

Who asked for these? Was there threats involved? People forcing drinks down her throat? Was it from the same server at the same location? If so she should have known being a nurse the affects of what she was doing. If service was at various points how would others know what she did? 15 shots in 8.5 hours, so 2 per hour? These were not drinks with tequila in them but rather shots, meaning the only reason to drink was to get drunk fast

Sounds like you should also look into royalties and video residuals, as well as emotional distress from the repeated showing of the incident.

disagree. Key is to go on the longer cruises. 7+ days. It filters out the riffraff who can't afford to go for that long.
