They were also able to accurately measure humidity levels, dew points, and barometric pressure. Wind speed features will soon be added.
ETA: This is from yesterday’s storm near Wyoming, IA.

Drone sure was mighty stable in those tornado force winds.

In the 1996 documentary, Twister, they used this machine to get all sorts of real time date on tornadoes.

I mean cool but what is that a EF.05 tornado?

It was probably an EF0, so the winds weren't that bad anyway. It definitely felt the updraft when it got into the center and gained altitude. That updraft is what spit it out, too.

I do like you could see the cylindrical shape when the drone looked down into the funnel cloud.

Yeah, that's cool and kind of gives an idea to structure. That's the perfect type tornado for that with no debris, no horizontal vortices, and a weaker updraft.

They can’t just post the video without their comments and faces can they?

What the frick was that? You couldn’t even get a good look of the interior of what a tornado looks like.

Looks like the devil’s anus and Popeyes disagreed vehemently on the spice level.

Ok, help me out here. As the drone approaches there is a clear “white” twisted structure, reminiscent of what you might see as a water spout. The drone doesn’t appear to go into that. It just sits above the relatively low to the ground “dust cloud” and shows it has a donut hole like interior. The question is, isn’t the white part the tornado?

How does a drone not get swept into the vortex and lose control?
