With less than 2 weeks to go before the draft I think the pick is Caleb Downs

What’s your prediction?

My prediction is Bain but my realistic hopes are Styles or Lemon.

It’s Bain or Downs.

I was not a fan of picking Downs a couple months ago but I would be more than happy now that I have learned more about him. Bain makes me a little nervous.

How many, if any WRs and OTs go before us means everything this year.

Out of the guys in the consensus top 8, he gives me bust vibes too. I’m still on the Ohio st bandwagon.

A Twitter guy who is pretty plugged in and nailed the top 10 last year just released his top 10 this year

He has the Saints taking Downs

Nah Downs seems to be slipping out of the top ten

Looking like Mansoor Delane will be the pick at 8

Mansoor Delane. Corner has more value than safety but both are great players.

Check my post history. I’m very anti Bain but I’m afraid he’s gonna be the pick.

I’m also never right on who I say will be the pick so I’m hoping by saying it’s Bain I’ll make it not be Bain.

I think we will have a lot of good options

My guess is the first 7 picks will be
Raiders Mendoza
Jets - Bailey
Arizona- Reese
Titans - Love
Giants - biggest question mark.. could see them go Styles, Tate, Delane or even OL
Cle- Tate or OL
Commanders- Styles Delane or Downs

So I think at 8 we likely have a choice between Delane, Downs, Bain, Lemon… with an outside chance of Tate or Styles being available.

Obviously DE is our biggest need and best value $ wise. So Bain would make some sense if you’re ok w his profile.

Downs is one of the best players in the draft but not at a premium position.. he fits really well as a 3rd safety and would be an immediate replacement for Alontae, one of our biggest holes.

Delane, instantly becomes our CB1 and would see a battle between Koolaid/Riley at CB2/nickel

Tate is the best WR in the draft but not elite… but he would certainly elevate our WR room w Olave and Vele

I think I’d go with Bain, improving the pass rush would be too hard to pass up.

Mansoor Delane.

Jeremiyah Love if he falls. but he wont.

I take Delane over everyone except Love or Bailey.

Downs would be a good selection. I'm ok with all the predictions except for Tate.

Great post but I disagree with you here. Personally I think Jordyn Tyson is the best wr in the draft but his injury history is too risky for me. Second I think is Makai Lemon. If you haven’t already peep his highlight video on YouTube. He is an elite receiver who can do everything and also the Biletnikoff winner. Played on a mediocre USC team but REALLY stood out and is so good at contested catches and is a home run threat every time he has the ball in space. I know he has a weirdo interview but that dude is a flat out baller. There’s a reason he’s drawing comps to Amon Ra. I’d be thrilled if the Saints took him at 8. I think Tate is a great receiver and would be good in our offense but I think lemon or Tyson would both be better than Chris Olave and I don’t feel safe saying that about Tate. The fact that J Smith drew so much attention and Tate was being guarded by cb2s most of the year makes me wonder a bit about how good he really is. Also the 40 time wasn’t what I would like in picking a wr that high. Just my 2 cents though. I wouldn’t melt over a Tate pick but it wouldn’t excite me nearly as much as Lemon.

I had a source last year and called both the Banks and Shough picks.

Haven’t heard anything concrete so far this year but heard the defensive coaching staff is really high on Delane.

As they should be. That dude was absolutely lockdown for LSU last year. Corners with technique like him are rare.

He seems like a given to be available and it probably our "at worst" scenario which is pretty good.

Drafting a safety that high isn't traditionally the best use of a pick. But, if none of the guys we love fall, he's probably the safest pick available for us at a position of need.

I’d be thrilled with D Mansoor. One of the most expensive positions to fill. Day 1 lockdown corner on a rookie deal. I’m taking that all day long. I just hope he’s there.
