Anyone tracking the “incident” at the New Orleans Giant Puppet Festival?

The New Orleans Giant Puppet Festival would like to acknowledge an incident that occurred during last night's Puppet SLAM.
The behavior involved does not align with our expectations for performers, and the individual will not be participating or attending any future festival events,

Just read on Reddit that a drunk puppet threw a chair and cursed out a fan.
Puppet 12-steps needed.

If someone that was there can string together a timeline events it would be greatly appreciated.

Still digging, but per Reddit :
quote:
A performer unexpectedly threw a chair into the audience and hit someone. Everyone in the audience left in protest.
Picture a mostly naked dude with a huge creepy mask on nastily wailing. That was the
"performance". Like the commenter below said, their thing is making the audience uncomfortable and they certainly achieved that...

Well, this guy Gepetto was in the crowd and he had his puppet girlfriend with him, Annette, and he got down on one knee during a puppeteer's set, and asked to marry Annette.
And the puppet on stage went psycho and throwing chairs, shoved his hand up a puppeteers backside, said "not so funny when the shoe is on the other foot, is it!?"
Cops got there and asked witnesses to finger puppets that were involved.

Its new Orleans, it went exactly as expected.
Its the armpit shithole of a city of all that exist today. You couldn't pay me to go there, much less live

I heard a real boy was masquerading as a puppet during the puppet slam.

I'm not up on the current trends and lingo. Are the giant puppets actually puppets or is that sime kind of euphemism? I really don't know what any of this means.

Let's just say, that wasn't a "finger" puppet on display.
