This is how I would handle the strait and attacks/threats on tankers.

Iran still exports oil to countries like China. Kharg Island is where 90% of Iranian oil exports are done. Hit Kharg Island but only damage it enough to where it’s inoperable and can be repaired fairly quickly once the regime is done. If they repair it, hit it again.
The strait is Iran’s only real leverage but is also a big weakness for them.
If other countries oil can’t get out, you can’t get out.

China is in its proper place now, the cuck chair, and is helping us get this finished most likely. Let Pooh have his oil, it’s not like it’s blocking any of our oil it is just driving up our prices my gas is still only like 3.50 though so it’s not too big of a deal to me.
The bigger issue is you almost certainly have multiple factions with no senior leadership or central government running Iran, as long as one of those wants to keep firing missiles or drones they will until they’re stopped.

That’s cool. And when the ones that want to get the oil out can’t, they will take care of them for us.

What other regime do yall keep talking about?
But let's play this out - you bomb Iran and they hold the straight. You've just caused a massive dip in supply so prices of oil/gas just jumped to easily +$6 a gallon.
How long would you do that for? Most Americans are about to pay their taxes next week and already feel the financial burden of this war - as fuel increases EVERYTHING increases.
You willing to do it through May and June?
What do you think happens to republicans in the midterms if citizens are being hit domestically with a terrible economy in the name of a regime change war in the Middle East? Also now it's admitting this is all about regime change, not a nuclear warhead. Which Iran could literally just buy from Russia.

Gas isn’t going to get anywhere close to 6$ a gallon baw. At least not for me in South Georgia it’s not even going to hit 4$ a gallon. I’m sure it’s over 6$ in shite holes like California

What you’re saying sounds good in theory. The reality of it is something different altogether. You can’t get THAT surgical. There would be a lot of damage that would take a while to fix.

Barrels of oil were $112.41 on April 6th, it was $69.49 on November 1 2024.
I hope you're right that prices wouldn't skyrocket if we completely shut down the Persian gulf but they absolutely would.

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THEM LEVERAGE?

Yes you can and you would be surprised how fast shite gets fixed when that much money is involved.

It's 90+ million people and over 70% of the men want sharia law. They despise the west and we haven't done ourselves any favors with castrating children and having men in dresses come to schools.
They see that on their propaganda news networks, the same way Russia does.
So now you have 30+ million radically Islamic men and what? You're going to kill them all? Then what? Their sons and daughters and wifes are all happy and become freedom loving democratic citizens in a progressive society? Even in that scenario - American citizens would be on the hook to rebuild the country.
Rubio let the truth slip when he said Israel was going to strike and we were forced into this war. If we let Israel strike alone then Iran would blame the US for arming them (not entirely wrong) and immediately target service men and women are our bases in the Middle East (they did). So the only option was to bomb them and disarm them as much as possible.
Israel controls our politicians. That's the reason that now Tucker Carlson, Thomas Massie, Elon Musk and Rand Paul are now considered traitors to Trump but Mark Levin, Lindsey Graham and Ben Shapiro are someone now America first.....

Id like to see a source on those numbers. I think the vast majority of Iranians are pretty moderate. They are only a generation away from a much better society. Until the radicals took over in 1979 life in Iran was pretty damn good.

Half the country will pay nothing or get money "back", which is why nobody in DC gives a shite how much money we light on fire.

Market forces will work. UAE is very capable of building a pipeline Directly to Gulf of Oman. Hasn’t made sense so far. If Iran really wants to charge $2M per tanker or $200M per day, the economics of a pipeline several hundred miles from the Iranian choke point makes perfect economic sense.
Market forces work.. Every Single Time.

For every tanker Iran hits, confiscate one of theirs to replace it.
Make the point that eliminating ships only steals oil from Iran’s customers, while leaving oil production operational.

So you’re telling me that we can’t fly a drone directly on to a certain important valve and detonate it? Ukraine is literally landing drones on top of tanks and waiting to detonate once the hatch is open.

in the last year you've posted nearly 10 thousand times on this website. all we know about you based on your profile is that you live in baton rouge!
i'm just spit balling here son, but based on your credentials i'm guessing what happens in the straits of hormuz isn't going to be your call.
have you considered on the line gaming or interweb porn as an alternative to posting on the poli board?

Proof positive that anyone can make things up to act informed.
My bet is he never looks up China news and has no idea about the recent data hack, nor the recent officials purged by Xi.
