Infant care, education, housing, food, etc.
$242,000 LA
$230,000 TX
And many more. Check out your state!
In summary, those little rascals are not cheap. Worth every penny if you ask me! Just a lot of shiny pennies!

It's the first time the figure has topped $300,000 since LendingTree began the analysis in 2023 and is up about 2% from a year earlier.

American families are feeling the financial strain of raising children, with a CBS News poll in February finding that 77% of respondents believe it is harder to raise a family today than it was for previous generations. A previous LendingTree study found many parents were unprepared for the added costs, with some going into debt to pay for child care and other expenses.

What about those of us who not only pay for our kids, but are also paying for the kids of, well, you know....
Is that factored in? Or is this fantasy just for those of us who produce?

Well, they used to be when you could farm em out for manual labor jobs, farm work, or any job that requires fitting into to small, cramped spaces. Nowadays, the brown shirts show up at your door if you just try to get them to use a weed eater before the age of 5. Soft.

Did not realize TD reaches posters who live in the 1700's. While we have you, you are going to love microwave ovens!

I’m 5% of the way there with my second just from the cost of her birth
My wife does part time remote work that’s on a flexible schedule though thankfully so we’ll make it back up from not having to pay daycare

Government-supported, and they make compromises that people in the middle class will not.
