Jared Jones type is totally missing on this team. There is just no leader on this team. I see Curiel with some fire but no pitcher or position player has it. I guess its expected with the turnover and lack of experience with the returners but this sucks losing to these types of teams consistently this year.

80% of this board wanted him benched his final 2 seasons because he “struck out too much”.

Leadership? Lol

The players are all mercenaries; NIL and transfer portal has eliminated the Alex Milazzos and the Tim Laniers of college baseball.

They have leadership when they come back from 5-0 at Tenn but not when they play Cookmam. Sad

Leadership is everyone's excuse when we lose because they can't comprehend actual baseball skills.

Everyone screamed it about this team last year when they would drop a series but now we're missing Jones' leadership? Give me one example of his so called extraordinary leadership lol

Some time you should wait until the emotions wear off before you post. This post doesn't make sense.

This won’t happen. You are exactly right. People need something to blame.

This team has no leadership. A good argument can’t be made otherwise.

How bout Jay? Does he count at all? Does any of the staff count as good leadership? What does good leadership look like to you on the field, in the dugout or in the locker room?

This what happens when teams bring in all these transfers.. You have no establish leadership. That's why Coach Johnson likes to recruit highschool players and let them grow through the process.

What's this got to do with Bear and his leadership?

Are you saying he wasn't 100% committed to this program and wasn't a leader?

Go back to many post game press conferences, especially in the postseason run, and listen to Jay talk about how much of a leader him and Pearson were on last year's team, especially in Omaha.

Not sure why some of y'all are trying to down play Jones' role as a leader on last year's team. He was absolutely a leader and going off what JJ said, a damn fine one at that.

I consume a lot of media when it comes to baseball. My favorite is usually listening to Mikd'd up, especially when they have an LSU player on the show. Last year, a few players talked about the team's leaders. The two names that kept coming up were Jake Brown and Jared Jones. If you listen to them this season, Brown is still in that same role.

People on here were literally saying the same thing last year until we flipped the switch and started playing well.

Yeah, we have no home grown talent on this team.

Milam, Curiel, Brown, Arrambide, Serna, Schmidt, Evans. It's a shame all those guys (and plenty more) just transferred in without a care in the world for LSU or the program.

Go back and watch Curiel and Arrambide rounding 2nd base against Tennessee and tell me if they seem like mercenaries to you.

Also, Alex Milazzo played 60% of his career during the NIL/portal era.
