Is lebron a nba legend?

Just bear with me for a moment! Lebron is captivating, interesting, and, in most cases, considered to be contraversal. Becoming the first player out of high school to be drafted #1 overall, then throwing cleveland a bone and building a super team to win them a championship, fast forward to building a super max team in miami, then commiting the ultimate sin, building a ultra supermax team in LA and having to wait until a covid year to win one there. Yes yes, his stats are a thing to behold, but when you are 6’8 250 lbs and play from the time you are 18 until what is he now? 40? You should be able to pad stats for years on end. I argue that while he has had a story book of a nba career, i dont consider him in the “Legend” status of that of Kobe, Jordan, Steph, and Bird. What say you?

I say this thread is retarded.

He is in the discussion of one of the top 25 players of all time, but only barely.

Yes but hopefully he will quickly be forgotten when he retires. He could have done so much more for the sport, his image and his future outside of basketball but hes very unlikable

In addition to the other retarded things you said this is just not factual

Not a big fan of LJ, but he’s definitely a legend. In the discussion as one of the greatest to play the game.

Does "Legend status" ignore on-court production?
Because Lebron was clearly better than Kobe, Steph, and Bird on the court.

LeBron is annoying and self-absorbed, however, he is easily on the Mt Rushmore of NBA players. He has been the face of the league for 20 years.

LeBron is top 5 what kind if question is this?

Career-wise LeBron is probably on par with someone like AC Green or Alex English. Pretty good players in the 80s that would dominate the soft NBA today.

I agree with this take. I don’t think anything about his career has been “legendary” per se but he’s been a solid player. Alex English is a good comp.
