Wade initial roster

Sounds like he kind of has a blank check to start. He claims they didn't talk numbers and they just told him to go out and put together a competitive roster. He also said that year one may be a sticker shock because you will have more needs.

Jon Rothstein said Wade is about to go stupid in the portal.
tGeneral is back.

he only met individually with returning players not as a team
that tells me not many will be returning
Nwoko should get better under Wade
Reece would be worth keeping
Robert Miller improved from last year so I would say a keep
Vaughns is a complete unknown with most likely ties to Patrick
His comments about he is the head coach and GM tells me Dupree is probably gone

He surprised with his offensive game this year, but he wasn't quite the rebounder/defender you hoped he could be. Plus, his offensive bag is pretty limited. Still, you can't teach size. Maybe he could fill a quasi Kavel Bigby Williams role.

There was enough there to at least see what could develop

I like Miller's length and think his is a guy who COULD develop into a really good player. However, he just plays with no motor whatsoever. I don't think he fits on a Wade team.

That's a David Patrick guy. Largely mediocre foreign players who don't translate to winning in the SEC. Maybe he ends up at Arizona St.

I want Dedan Thomas back out of the portal.

3 main ones I thought could add value are the PG Thomas, Reece, and Nwoko. Granted Reece and Nwoko would probably be coming off the bench but think they could both add value there. I am not really sold on Miller and Reed. Ultimately I trust whatever decisions Wade makes on the roster and will support them all the way. that is just my initial thought is that those three are the only ones i would have any disappointment at all if they left.

Bring back Thomas and Reece. I wouldn't mind keeping Nwoko if he's fine coming off the bench in a more limited role. I also think Mosley has all the tools, but he's a project so I could understand not bringing him back. Everyone else is easily replaceable.

We need some muscle - like the Florida big guy or Carey at Tennessee. .

Reece and Thomas would be current players that could help.
I also expect Wade to hit the transfer portal for a majority of the team.

Really hoping Allen graves ends up on the team
Also if Adam miller got another year of eligibility, would you take him?

I'll be completely honest here, and please downvote as I deserve, but I didn't watch enough basketball this season to even know who's worth keeping and who isn't.

I’ve watched Mosley at practice often. He’s got the goods, incredible stroke, athleticism and great attitude . Him and Reece are being asked to stay…

You have a sauce or just speculating?

redfish99 has ties. I don't know where he gets his info, but it's good.

Good. Reece is nice and mosley has pedigree. Will be nice to have some continuity.
I can't wait for good basketball again.

I think he will be better than he was last time he coached us.

Que? The only thing that will be the same is the school on the jersey. Everything else is new. Zero reason to bring people back unless they’re better than what you can get in portal

Those are the two I’d like to have back. The issue will be can someone like a Nwoko switch and play D away from the basket without fouling out in a minute or two. Same for Miller who I think could do it and def provides rim protection. Reece is another interesting candidate, I’ve seen him play good D in spurts but it’s hard to notice when the team D was so poor.

Robert miller is not a keep. He can go. We need better guys than him. He’s not tough at all.
