Americans who are Anti American!

It is down right mind boggling to see so many people who are shown spouting negative statements concerning so many things about our great country. I wish I could some how transport these nay Sayers to some of the nations of the world where the populace is truly oppressed. I get it this country is not perfect but when compared to other countries in the world, USA gets a 10 and everyone else is way down the list from that standard. So much negativity is depressing. If it is so bad here then leave. So many people want to come to USA, which begs the question Why come to such a horrible country? Guess that answers my own question.

As someone who has lived abroad in my youth (Philippines, Germany) it was easy to appreciate the stark differences.
Most Americans cannot appreciate the advantages they have by merely being born in the US

I have a Cousin that I have to give Credit to. During the Bush II years he became Disenfranchised with things. He up and left, renounced his US Citizenship, moved to Canada, and became a Citizen. Hats off to him. At least he had the balls to do what so many of these Cowards will not. I dont agree with many of his views but have to respect him for Manning the F Up!!

I love our country but this is just a foolish statement. Many other countries are doing things the right way, too.
Frankly we are rich with resources, wealth and yet a large proportion of citizens struggle to make ends meet. For as amazing as it is to be an American, we could be even better with a more functional government. Too much inequality and hassle (healthcare) that could be fixed if there was political will.

“If it is so bad here then leave.”
Perhaps the laziest of blind nationalist’s quotes.
Do better.
“Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”
Howard Zinn.
And no, Jefferson never said it.

That attitude goes way back in history. A few thousand years ago the people of Athens thought their lives sucked. They should see Greece today.

The tried and true "love it or leave it" argument. That bs has been spouted since Vietnam, through the Gulf wars and now.
We need leadership truly vested in the people. We were duped into believing that 47 was the guy that did. He sold out and is part of the MIC gang now.

I agree, anyone that has lived or worked in other countries for a substantial period of time will tell you that America is far and away the best country in the world.
And,….one of the greatest things about America is freedom of speech, such an under appreciated freedom until you go to another country….

And what is so wrong with being proud of your country?

How old are you? People like you complained about the healthcare system all the way to Obama and the Democrat party having a veto proof super majority and the best they could come up with was a program that is by far worse than the previous system for anyone having to pay for medical care.
And this program is so bad that they guaranteed subsidies to insurance companies based off of fricking over the healthy young workers. This arrangement was enshrined by the USSC so that wealth would be transferred by law from the individual to the corporate class.
So with this in mind, what exactly do you mean by "political will"?

Absolutely nothing wrong with pride. It’s the “Love it or leave it” crap that’s so lazy, blind, and subservient. Governments have been victimizing the people from the beginning of recorded history. This one is no different.

Americans are so spoiled that they have to make mountains out of molehills. Every little inconvenience or dislike of a policy is always the worst thing to have ever happened.
Americans have had it so good that they actively look for shite to complain about. If they can't find a valid reason, they will make one up or exaggerate.
Perfect is the enemy of good, and many conservatives are a great example of that. Anything that isn't 100% their way is just absolute rubbish to them. They will complain because they only got 98% of what they wanted.
Patriotism in the younger generations is falling off, too, and the reason is school indoctrination. Boomers and X were taught America was the greatest country ever, almost to the point where we could do no wrong.
Millennials and Z were taught about "original sin" and focused on everything wrong with America. They were taught to be global citizens and that being American wasn't that special. They were taught America succeeded by oppressing people, not by hard work and innovation.
I'm sure they will tell you they weren't affected and they are just as patriotic as older generations, but that's only because they have a limited frame of reference. They don't know how the people before them actually felt and acted. They don't know how the average American was proud of the country before they were taught to hate it.
It's apparent when you see the people complaining the most calling others Boomer like it is a great insult. They tell you you are "too old" to understand the constant whining of Nick Fuentes.
The indoctrination has been successful on the younger generations. They no longer respect and appreciate the country like those before them. And we are seeing the results play out before our eyes. The younger generations are just softer and less patriotic.

quote:In 2025, the U.S. experienced net negative migration for the first time in roughly 90 years, with more people leaving than entering. Estimates indicate an outflow resulting in a net loss of approximately 150,000 people, driven by 675,000 deportations, 2.2 million "self-deportations," and a decline in new arrivals to around 2.6–2.7 million.
If it is so bad here then leave. So many people want to come to USA, which begs the question Why come to such a horrible country?
Remember, if we didn't have people complaining in this land, we wouldn't have our own country.

Yeah, I don't understand how people are openly against the US protecting it's borders and it's citizens.

You, Howard Zinn, or anyone on the left acting like they don't absolutely hate this country and most everything it was founded on, is cute...

I've traveled all over now. But when I was little my parents took us on a road trip to Mexico. Once driving through there my eyes were opened.
