BREAKING: Iran has officially rejected the US' peace proposal and sets five conditions for an end to the war.
Iran's conditions include:
1. Immediate end to attacks and assassinations on Iran
2. Establishment of "concrete guarantees" against future US attacks
3. "Clear determination and guaranteed payment" for war damages
4. International recognition of Iran's "authority" over Strait of Hormuz
5. An end to the war across all fronts, including for all Iranian proxies in the region
We now await a response from the US.
Muh Israel won’t let us end the war

BREAKING: Iran's Press TV reports that Iran has reviewed Trump's 15 point plan and calls it 'excessive', stating the war must end on Iran's terms:
- Halt to 'aggressions and assassinations';
- Guarantees against any recurrence of war;
- Agreement and payment of war reparations;
- An end to war on all fronts, including regional separatist and resistance groups;
- Recognition and guarantees of Iran's sovereign authority over the Strait of Hormuz.

Are they really in a position of power to negotiate when their first condition is "Please stop bombing us and taking out all of our leadership"?
Also, they can especially frick right off on 3, 4 and 5.

Iran has communicated to all intermediaries acting in good faith that a ceasefire is contingent upon the acceptance of its conditions.
"No negotiations will be held prior to that," the official stressed, reiterating that the continuation of Iran's defensive operations will persist until the outlined conditions are satisfied.
"The end of the war will occur when Iran decides it should end, not when Trump envisions its conclusion," he hastened to add.

Iran lays out five specific conditions under which Iran would agree to end the war, via PressTV. These include:
1. A complete halt to "aggression and assassinations" by the enemy.
2. The establishment of concrete mechanisms to ensure that the war is not reimposed on the Islamic Republic.
3. Guaranteed and clearly defined payment of war damages and reparations.
4. The conclusion of the war across all fronts and for all resistance groups involved throughout the region
5. International recognition and guarantees regarding Iran's sovereign right to exercise authority over the Strait of Hormuz.

This goes to show how warped they are to try and make any demands.
Do you think these people would be reasonable if they had a nuke?
Can’t y’all see how screwed up the world would be if they obtain that kind of power.

Having Israel bomb Iran with the US ended any hope of compromise. Either we quit, go full invasion or a government coup. No good deal will ever be had with the IRG. Ever.

I think the whole hostage situation in the 70s kind of set the table for this.
They figured they could frick us and not get a response.

According to the BBC, the US is trying to create negotiations with someone inside the Iranian government in order to re establish a form of Iranian government that would be more favorable or useful, especially in attempting to “make a deal.”
Obviously, there are forces in the Iranian government that would have problems with this person being “lifted up” or “installed” by the US.
The US has been back channeling these attempts and have been keeping this person anonymous in order to protect him.
Israel publicly disclosed this person’s identity, against the express wishes of the US, most obviously to undermine him or get him killed.
That is what you are seeing play out now.
It’s their reporting. People will consider it, dismiss it, or believe what they want according to their own biases.
