1. Raiders - Mendoza
2. Jets- go for highest upside DE, Reese
3. Cardinals - go best tackle, Mauigoa
4. Titans- go best playmaker, Love
5. Giants- get top WR Tate
6. Browns- go best left tackle, Freeling
7. Commanders- go best defensive player Styles

That leaves the Saints with a choice of Bailey, Downs, Bain and id presume we would take Bailey, who would replace Cam as our 3rd DE immediately and push to take Grandersons spot.

If the draft fell that way and we didn't pick Bailey I would melt like I haven't melted since we passed Trufant for Jonathan Sullivan

I’d be fine with just about anyone but Bain at this point. I see bust blinking in bright lights.

Swap Bain for Styles and it gets more interesting

Mansoor Delane is the only answer to this question.

We will get Bailey or Bain if they get past the Cards and Titans.

Giants aren’t taking him and I just don’t see how the Browns don’t go offense. And I think the Commanders have been linked to Bain or Downs for a while

Washington could go in a number of directions.

it's really crazy how just a few years ago they were playing the eagles in the NFC championship game.

and then also if You had told me before last season started that the Chiefs would be picking right behind the Saints. I would have said pass whatever you're smoking over here and let me hit it too.

Don’t care for Bain.

Styles, Downs, Bailey and Tate are top of my list. An OL and/or WR going top 7 determines if one of the defensive guys falls to us.

I’d lose my mind if we took him over a potential game wrecker like Bailey.

I imagine the first week of April we will start getting much more accurate info on how “most likely” the first round will play out.

And then the week of we’ll see Underhill and his crew make predictions one who it will be between 1-3 guys and one of them will be right. They’ve done it every year pretty much

This. I would rather get Freeling and then move Fuaga to RG (and I want NOTHING to do with an OL in the 1st again) than get Bain

So what about Bain is putting up the red flags for you? Not really a Bain fan, but he was projected pretty high. I know Proximo said he has TRex arms but it has to be more than that.

Bain is not a physical freak kind of player. He lacks the measurables that would put him in that category.

Half his stats are during three of the four playoff games. That screams inconsistency to me. I know it’s the better competition, but why couldn’t he get sacks and tackles against the other teams he played all year? He’s not a closer. He gets “pressures”. We already have a guy who gets pressures.

IMO, he’s like a smaller version of Chase Young or Bresee. We already have that. We need a Pat Swilling, not a Wayne Martin.

I think this is a good breakdown on Bain vs. Bailey. IMO, Bain has maxed out his abilities. I think he will be good…he just won’t be able to get to the level of a Watt, Hutchinson, or Garrett.

Bailey or Reese might not get to that level either…but they have the possibility to get there and have produced at high levels.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

The only thing I would add is that I actually do think his arm length may end up being an issue for him (and I normally don’t care about that stuff….but they are freakishly short).

When you couple that with the things you mentioned……it is just too big of a bust potential for me to risk a top 8 pick on.

Just don’t be Bain or a tackle and I’m prob good. Also don’t want downs but I know he’s good and will contribute so I wouldn’t melt. Bailey is my dream pick but I just don’t see him making it to us.

You know that means absolutely nothing right? You only think it does because the idiots on ESPN made it up years ago. They completely manufactured a measurable so they would have something to criticize and talk about for 8 hours during the draft. And now they have bobble heads repeating it. It’s just ridiculous.

What if they were wrong? What if shorter arms on a person could sometimes actually be advantageous?! Maybe it gets them more leverage. Or helps them initiate contact and gain the advantage? It’s possible. Dudes can either play or they can’t.

So stop swallowing that gibberish and parroting what a bunch of talking heads say to fill air time. It doesn’t freaking mean anything!

And BTW, people are proportionate. So there’s no way two guys who are the same height, have an appreciable difference in arm length.
