This isn’t going to happen. But just like COVID and the supply chain stuff companies will use this as a built in excuse to frick over consumers because they learned we will still pay it. And when oil goes back to 65 dollars the higher prices won’t come down with it

Yeah but you can't execute for any possibility.

At some point you have to pick a path and you either get lucky or not.

Many considered "good" CEOs have just been fortunate.

$65 isn’t happening anytime soon. Prior to this whole escapade the world was falling behind in finding new economically feasible oil and companies (rightfully so) put capex on the shelf in the favor of stock buybacks and dividends. Unless there is a catastrophic worldwide recession, I think we bounce between $85-100 for awhile. Government not giving companies incentive to drill and make new discoveries is going to be very painful.
