Nice send off to the series. Great cast and great soundtrack as usual. The first 45 minutes is pretty slow, but that’s fine, the series was the same way at the start. Tim Roth was kind of a weak antagonist but they didn’t have a whole season to flesh him out like they did the antagonists in the series. Awesome fan service with Tommy trotting through the streets on a horse to the series intro song just like in the first episode, was smiling ear to ear at that. Was great to get back in that world one last time

Just finished it.
Liked it and is definitely worth watching.

I couldn’t help feel it didn’t carry the same weight and tension as the ending of the show. I felt like the German antagonist wasn’t evil enough to strongly dislike him.

I also felt like Barry who plays the son was trying to be too stoic, which made me not care about him very much. Plus he didn’t have a huge role in the show until the last season.

Was a bummer about Arthur, no spoilers, just wished he had a different send off.

All in all, it was good and well done.
The scene with the soldiers in the Garrison was my favorite. Clear tension and a great payoff.

I’m actually starting to sour on him as an actor. I was all in on him after The Green Knight and Banshees of Inisherin. Also, thought he was great in the indie movie Bird. But, the more I see him he plays the same character in every movie. They always seem autistic or something, never just a normal character. His character in the new action movie Crime 101 is the best example of this, he was super weird.

I agree on the weight of it, but I feel like all series that end with movies are like that. Theres a reason they work best as tv series.

I was really wanting an end credits scene of Alfie and Tommy sitting at a table near the ocean arguing with each other in retirement.

Does one need to rewatch the series to follow the film? Haven’t seen the show in years.

Don’t really need to remember any plot from the series just be familiar with the main characters

I just finished and the show was good. I liked the Easter eggs thrown to the fans.

The problem (why it isn't great) is the lack of characters.

Jerry Seinfeld is Seinfeld. But the show isn't Seinfeld without George, Kramer, and Elaine.

The movie was a good tribute show for fans of Thomas Shelby. But it isnt Peaky Blinders without Arthur and Polly.

It was an impossible task to make it great.

I didn’t hate it, but didn’t like to either. I never felt like I was in the peaky blinders universe while watching. The visuals felt off (too bright), and Cilian never felt like Tommy at all

I agree. It was like a few mid season episodes of side plot made into a movie. Honestly the plot was weak and leaned too much into the mystical bullshite.

I liked it, but much like a lot of the final season or two, some things seemed rush while others parts were unnecessarily drawn out. Performances were really good.

I really enjoyed it. Definitely much more emotional but it felt a little rushed. I would have loved for it to be another 6-episode season. That being said I felt it ended the story perfect.

The story was better without the movie. Everything about it was unnecessary. The ending was dumb.

It was OK, not as good as it could have been.

I think I could’ve lived without seeing that movie.

I would’ve been fine thinking Tommy lived the rest of his life losing his mind.

Very underwhelming.

Liked it overall. However, it was very hard to measure up to the actual series.

Some scenes hit classic Peaky levels, especially the pub confrontation. Best scene in the movie. Watched it twice.

First, Peaky Blinders to me was among the greatest series ever. Trying to top that with a sequel film is almost impossible. What The Immortal Man does is not surpass the series, but close the book with style, emotion, and respect. Was a good closure.

What I liked: Murphy and Keoghan are electric together, and critics keep calling their dynamic one of the film’s biggest strengths.

Good Review
