This situation is exactly why there is no right/wrong policy only right/wrong leadership

I will be the first to stand up and say, I would be screaming bloody murder over gas prices, stocks tanking, american forces in harms way, if this was being done by Dems.
Conversely all the dems would be supporting it like the folks are on here.
There is no objective right and wrong, Just us vs. them. The sooner folks realize this the better.

Gas prices are still lower than they were under Biden and we're going to be in a much better position with gasoline once this is all over. Trump is currently, actively solving the gasoline "problem."

You and your attitude are what’s wrong with this fricking world.
You’re stupid arse is gobbling up all the garbage in the mainstream media and now you’re all wobbly kneed cause you don’t want someone to think you might like Trump or something.
Just to be sure you’re clear on this. There is objective right and wrong. Yes both parties are shite but the Democrats are the ones running head long to communism. There’s maybe one or two people in Congress, who may fight against that but most likely they’re loyal opposition.
The Democrats are the source of all of the evil that’s happening to this country and the whole world. The Republicans are simply not standing in the way. There is a difference.
Stop being a pussy and grow a set.

This is true. Dems love higher gas prices.
They want it out of site so that we are forced into EVs.
Posted on 3/19/26 at 9:36 am to BrodyDad
Pretty sure evil exists and we fighting against it.
Posted on 3/19/26 at 9:38 am to BrodyDad
Agreed. Because at the end of the day the gas prices rising has to do with stupidity of policy vs. temporary rise for a better outcome. The high gas with Dems is the goal and higher still the long term goal.

I disagree.
Many on here would've said a nuclear iran would be disastrous.
And since beating down iran is problematic now, imagine if they had 7000 more missiles?
People here would've said that even a blind squirrel finds a but, biden can accidently choose the correct course of action.
And when biden would accidently pick the correct code of action people would say that though biden was a bad president he got something correct.
Democrats, as we have seen with them supported the now dead Supreme leader of Iran who was an awful individual and Maduro, another awful person, they can't help but choose the opposite course of action that Trump takes.

Did the democrats start a war resulting in a school full of kids being blown up?
His point is 100 percent accurate. This board loves to tear into Bush NOW, but is watching Trump do the same shite and cheering it on. Remember WMD? Imminent threat? Leading sponsor of terrorism? Premature declarations of victory? With us or against us?
If we get drawn into full commitment, many of you will change your tune just as I and many of you did post-Dubya.

You forget, with a dem in charge after two and one-half weeks, there would be a far greater number of American lives lost with Iran blowing up our ships in the Persian Gulf.
But, for some reason, the GOP decided to stay out of the Persian Gulf and had control of Iran in less than 72 hours.

You still live in the Blue/Red Matrix. It’s a Uni-party in Washington. At the end of the day, America ends up in the exact same place regardless who is in power up there. One side tells their groupies what they want to hear, while the other side tells their’s what they want to hear, and we all end up where we were always going to be no matter who is in the White House, or has the majority in Congress.
Washington Politics is theater to entertain, divide, and enrage emotionally the masses. The real decisions are made behind closed doors where no one hears, or knows, what their true agenda and motives are.
Both parties get their marching orders from AIPAC, the Military Industrial Complex, the CIA, and the big three (BlackRock/ Vanguard/ State Street).
The politicians in Washington are all puppets. George Carlin said it best. You really need to listen to what he says. He was sooooo correct.

Speak for yourself. I would oppose this nonsense in Iran regardless of who was doing it.

Bless your heart, you missed my point entirely. While there is evil in the world, only MAGA is fighting against it.
My point is on every day politics (and this war and the fallout are just that). I am going to support President Trump on something that I would scream and yell about if a Dem was behind it.
He represents my worldview, so I do not care if he does things that I would not tolerate from the opposition who does not believe as I do.

Ehhhh, "supporting it" and just accepting that it's going to happen whether we like it or not, are not the same.
I never wanted this war with Iran, but I understand why it's happening. I don't want to pay more for gas but it's still far less than I was paying under Biden even when he completely depleted the SPR to keep averages under $10/gallon. Stocks are reactionary from domestic and geopolitical tumult, and it's fairly predictable, they'll come roaring back at the first sign of increased stability (they're already holding up fairly well in spite of the circumstances, honestly).

Oh there's definitely an objective right and wrong, and myriad shades of grey. There's just nothing we can do about it. Our votes mean nothing, and our elected Congress won't even pass legislation for election integrity which is literally an 85/25 issue.
Just accept that we're on our own, and things make more sense. The real "us vs. them" is the US Taxpayer vs. the US Government.

Communism is always wrong policy.
Genocide is always (morally) wrong policy.

Gas prices up as an intentional policy is different than a disruption in the market due to a war. Even if the war is unpopular or unwise, it’s generally a temporary side effect and not the end goal.
Clamping down on the energy sector, stopping oil leasing, mothballing refineries, banning fracking, shutting down pipeline projects, pushing expensive and unreliable “alternatives”, these produce an intentional increase in oil and gas prices.
Just keep that in perspective.
Stocks tanking is a really weak argument. Ask yourself, is the long term outlook of the stock market is going to go up or down as a result of a the Iran regime change, or at worse, a greatly reduced Iranian threat to oil markets and shipping lanes (include the Houti’s in that assessment).

As a matter of fact yes, I’m sure in some of the Dem wars this has happened. But I’m not sure anyone knows who caused the school to get hit in this case anyway.
How about one of our school full of kids getting a nuke launched their way down the road by doing nothing?
