I get supporting local, but it’s time to talk about bats.

I’m the biggest Marucci fan there is, but I’ve been doing some research and I think it’s time to shop around.

I pulled all of the data from 2009 to now. In 2009 the exit velo’s off the bats were so much faster than this year in 2026. We just aren’t hitting the ball as hard.

They changed the bats and balls several times post 09 to combat that exact issue. So yeah, that’s kinda by design.

How do you not know theyve changed the bats and balls since 2009? With all your research?

This is how I know you haven’t ever seen the acronym BBCOR before.

BESR switched to BBCOR, around late 2011.

Makes sense.
That's why when I hit a bad golf shot, I take it out on the club.

The hottest bats on the market are trash? They sure seemed great when Little Rock was getting 10 hits a game.

You wasted a lot of time researching without filtering it through the change to the ball that happened since then.

You'd be better off looking at number off looking to see who all the top hitters use and try to make a correlation to another bat company other than Marucci.

Too rule out other factors, you’d want to do the same research for other bats to see if they trend the same

How much research did you really do?

How much data were you able to collect?

How many ballparks had trackman in ‘09 vs now?

Georgia uses Marucci bats, I know they have a small park, but they don't seem to have an issue hitting for power.
