How much to sell my car for?

Have a 2007 car I never drive anymore. Wanna sell it now and maybe buy a car in a year or two. Just wanna get that money investing and maybe pre preparing some payments to make sure I have a solid down payment.
It has 80k miles. Chevy equinox 2007. Leather interiors. Needs a new battery which I will do before I sell. It has peeling paint on the rear quarter panels and needs the AC repaired.
The Kelly blue book is around $2500 but I have no idea how accurate that is. It’s a fine car just needs the AC fixed. Obviously low mileage for its age. Battery is dead because I never drive it and let the battery run down once and now it can’t hold a charge.
I’ve never sold a car and I get I may not get much for it so curious the best route to take with this.

List for $4k on Marketplace and see what happens.
Wash the outside and clean the inside before posting photos, also clean the headlights if they're foggy.

All of this would land the car into a “rough condition” designation. You’re looking at $2,000–$3,500 depending on the buyer and how it presents in person.

You are clueless. The low mileage alone could get him at least 5k. I had the same year and car he is talking about 2 years ago with 93k miles and had several quick offers for 5k. Ended up selling it to someone that offered me 6k.

2 years ago = a newer car

See if you can charge the AC system. It might just be low on refrigerant and the low pressure switch has turned off the compressor.

But also had 13k more miles on it than his. Some don't mind older cars as long as it has under 100k miles.

Won't your new car just sit up like this one?

I would think you could get more than $2500 if it's in decent shape with only 80k miles

Oh look a grown adult man who cant figure out how what their 20 year old car is worth.
Make sure you take the sugar out of the tank before you send it to its new home.
