What do you think the unhappiest age is?

Apparently it’s 47.2, scientifically.

I haven’t reached that age yet but I think 41 was probably my worst year.

I’m sure hoping things get better after mid 40s. My life is full of blessings, and I still make myself miserable.

My parents swear the 40s and 50s are the best years of your life because you finally start making real money, your kids are older so you start getting your independence back, and if you took care of yourself, you hopefully still have your health
I hope science is wrong and my parents are right, as I'm 42

Boomers had it different

Would have figured it would be late in life with health failing and unable to do things you used to do

I get the financial part of it. The things my parents did on a single fireman's salary is insane to think about today, but the other parts should still apply.

99. Your body is probably a meat bag at that point.

I am currently 47.2 no joke. I can promise you it's definitely the worst it's ever been.

I am 53 and I can absolutely say that your parents are right.

I'm hoping right there with you baw. The 30s started out as a banger but the past few have been rough. I would like to peak in my 40s

47.2 is usually the peak midlife crisis age. Men are sensing their mortality. They drink heavily, chase skirts, change their hair and clothes, start manscaping (much to the bemusement of their wives), and realize that most of that is futile because they have a dad bod.
Things get better in the 50's.

This is correct. I'd say the unhappiest age is 60, as I just turned it.
You realize your best days are over and you're in the fourth quarter. At least that's my opinion.

Happiness starts with an attitude of gratitude and counting your blessings.
Materialistic, self-centered people will never be happy because they are looking for fulfillment from worldy things.
True contentment comes from within.

It breaks my heart seeing that the overall sentiment here is the worst age is however old we happen to be right now.

At 47.2 I had back surgery lol
Also had a little mid life crisis then but crawled out of it. Thankfully I have a good wife. At 56 I'm a lot happier
