Trump said there is practically nothing left to target in Iran......now what?

If Trump is reporting the facts from CENTCOM and there is nothing of strategic military value to target in Iran outside of maybe a few cleanup targets and the occasional opportunity to whack a few IRGC troops.....couldn't Trump just claim victory by saying US objectives have been met and cease offensive military operations?
The US can always stay in the vicinity for a while and continue to target Iran's rocket launchers, radar and other Iranian military units who are attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
I think a great departing statement from Trump 2.0 to Iran would be the US is enacting a new Department of War policy against Iran, it's called the FAFO Policy. If Iran is unsure of what FAFO policy means the US will provide an interpreter and vid clips of Operation Epic Fury.

There's always something to target

There is plenty left to target, it is just that all the easy targets are gone now.

Time to detonate all dentures, cavities, pagers, cell phones, goats and surgical implants.

They will try to stay a little longer to kill all these hardline assholes and give the people a legitimate shot at taking down this regime. There are still some pretty high ranking government officials outstanding too that need to go meet Allah.
We do not really know what is in store when the torch is passed to the people of Iran. It could be in the cards to provide them some air cover. If a large group of people can sucker these IRGC people out when the time come then we might can get bombs on them.

Im so fricking confused by this! How can we be out of targets, but our concern is tanker safety in the strait?
What the frick is the danger in the strait, if we r out of targets?
Trump is so stupid sometimes with his mouth

I guess the more pertinent question is what is the US objective?
If the objective is to crush the Iran's ability to produce a nuclear weapon, produce intermediate and long range missiles, drones, etc. how will the US know when those objectives are met? Without unfettered access into the interior of Iran how will the US know all threats have been neutralized and all objectives have been met?
If the US objective is regime change and the Persian people are unwilling to participate in removing the Islamists from power, what does this operation look like? How long does it take? How many US servicemen are the US willing to sacrifice? How much money should the US expect to spend?
Just asking a few questions.
Going forward, there are a lot of moving parts right now with the potential for a shite ton of unintended consequences. What's the downside of the US declaring victory and telling Iran they're officially under the new DOW policy of FAFO?

uhhhh, Drones
On search and destroy missions looking for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps trying to regroup, or go mobile seeking their own targets. They of course would not be fixed targets

The enemy is hiding in their residential neighborhoods.
The enemy is hiding in places of business.
The enemy is hiding in school buildings.
They no longer have government buildings or police stations to congregate.
They no longer have ambulance services.
But they are still present. It is going to take Intel on the ground to be as precise as we have been up to this point.
We need starlink to some assets on the ground giving us direction.

Bush I stopped Desert Storm too soon when they were rolling and you saw where that got us. Bush II had his Mission Accomplished moment and you saw where that got us.
We don’t need Trump to do either of those. Keep going until that regime is all dead.

Gasoline jumped 25 cents a gallon here tonite. The natives are going to get restless quickly. Those boomers are not going to like it when they have to fill up the pontoons this summer and gas is $5/gallon.

Our military is creative. I’m sure they can figure out some more targets.

If there is no regime change, the opposition will blast how much of a failure it all was.

The leader of a country exaggerates about military success. How is this confusing?
It's confusing how you think one attack really means that things aren't mostly under control. It's like saying, "how can this be?," when a pilot gets shot at after we claim air superiority. It doesn't mean we don't have air superiority, but you still act like we don't have dominance because it is not 100%.
Stop taking everything so literally and it makes sense.

Trump, and the world for that matter, can’t afford for this to go on much longer.
