Why hasn’t Russia or China made a big deal of our strikes on Iran?

They’ve done the obligatory diplomatic condemnations, which is of course ho-hum.

You think they’re going to hint at a military defense of Iran? No.

You know why? Because nobody wants to deal with Iran. They all want a regime change including every country in the Middle East except maybe Syria.

supposedly Russia is helping Iran locating US defenses or something, its being reported a few places this morning. I dont know if its true, but I wouldnt be surprised especially considering the help we gave Ukraine for a few years

China doesn't do full scale war (nor could they sustain/pay for it)

Russia destroyed their military in Ukraine. I would wager a lot of money that was the selling point of Israel to Trump on why we should do this to Iran now.

Review my post about "WW3" from the attacks in June of last year:

I don't get how this turns into WW3

Russia is clearly weak and that is a primary reason Israel felt bold enough to attack and drag us in

China may have some issues with Petro but will they threaten war over it? For Iran? Instead of buying more from Russia? Hell, SA wants war with Iran and I'm sure they could make up some of it.

Russia is even weaker today.

As for China, even if they wanted to do something, they wouldn't have any support. They're smart enough to understand they have to adapt post-Iran and post-Venezuela. They'll likely exert more dominion over Russia.

Even China & Russia know how much of a shithole Iran was. They also saw that Trump isn't messing around either, and they don't want to catch these hands.

Do you keep a catalog of posts that were totally wrong or do you just pull up the ones that you think you are right?

Correct.

Russia is bogged down with all they can handle right now in ukraine. all they can do is share intel. and hope the iran can hurt the US without any of their military hardware, as they cant spare any

China tried to help by sending their "stealth detecting Radar" systems, but they are now all blown up. china has no means to force a show of power outside Taiwan. Middle east is too far, and they are not flying in more "tech" as its now a war zone in which US/Israel own the skies

At this point, both Russia and China can only help with intel and hope to gain tech/tactics from observing what plays out

Both Russia/China will try to play "mediators" to try to end this earliy and keep the regime in power.

China and Russia are more than happy to deal with Iran. They both have huge interest in the country and want to keep the US busy in the ME. They don't want to see a ME that is pro-US all the way around. They are not happy and are probably helping behind the scenes.

They both have strategic agreements with Iran but not a direct defense agreement. Technology and arms are about as far as it will go, with the obligatory condemnation of ‘hostilities’. Others have voiced disagreement over this opinion, but it’s hard to imagine that the ‘funky’ ineffective equipment that Iran was given was the top state of the art stuff (at least from the Chinese end).

Iran is not going to win a hot war with the west and can only hope to cause a scrape here and there. China knew they were going to have to take an L on the energy front. They play the long game and probably thought it was cheaper to negotiate with the U.S. next month than pour resources into a losing battle in Iran.

Our actions seem to be strategically directed at China, with all the other results being lagniappe.

Russia and China most certainly do not want regime change.

They are “doing nothing” because like Venezuela, nothing is all they can do.

China cannot protect military power, and their support of Russia in the invasion of Ukraine has greatly diminished their diplomatic power.

Russia is fully committed to the Ukrainian tar baby. And both are amazed at how easily we have dismantled their supplied military equipment and systems.

Russia cannot fly over unoccupied Ukraine!

Russia doesn't have enough satellites to do much in Ukraine, much do more than Google Earth.

The short answer is that both Russian and Chinese equipment turned out to be crap from TEMU. They skeered

China (and Russia to a degree) are watching their systems to see how they preform against US force.

We're essentially doing the same in Ukraine. No need to get involved, just show us where we need to improve for when the big war kicks off.

China gave Iran missiles and they failed miserably. China’s military is basically a Temu military.

I'm not disputing that fact, just pointing out why they haven't made a big deal out of our involvement. There's no benefit to making statements and offering true support.

I think they're more interested in dual-use components in drones and such....and allowing the US to deplete their top-end munitions.

If you had to choose now or five years from now, when do you want to fight China?

Have they built up their missiles and drones to a satisfactory level?

Or will they ramp up production now that their oil supplier is in big trouble?

Especially if any tactical nukes are used in Tehran. You can bet your arse that’s a green light Putin is waiting for to use in Ukraine.
