Rolex has just opened a trade school for watchmakers in Texas. Already competition is as fierce as Harvard’s, and students could walk out with $95,000 jobs.
Kind of shows you how bad American colleges have failed. They take in taxpayer dollars, hire endless administrative staff, and prioritize cash loaded international students. And the students come out with no jobs and no hands on experience in their field.

While I dont disagree with the direction that universities have taken, I do not see the correlation between that and this Rolex trade school.

The only advantage is that Indians don't like to do manual labor, so there won't be a lot of competition with H1Bs.

Check out the Rolex building in the Harwood District in downtown Dallas...

Did American colleges fail? They were designed to create social justice activists and keep women from gating married and having children.

I think this is the school my nephew is going to soon. He went and toured a few weeks ago.
Unless there is another jeweler school in Texas.

Society told you to go to the college and you are a loser if you go to the trade school.
The way we pitched it was all wrong.

Probably not a coincidence that this messaging really started getting hammered home in the mid 90s. Federally backed student loans were introduced in 1993.

Similar situation with a competitive entrance. Most students get recruited to work for many of the major companies.
