Plur1bus-

The first 3 episodes and the last two episodes.

Skip the others until S2 comes out then do a full rewatch before S2 starts because I am sure there are some Easter eggs in the otherwise meaningless episodes in the middle of S1.

1. Severance - people ask Hollywood for new ideas and this is the best example imo. It's smart and beautifully cast and shot. Best show in last 10 years along with a few others.
2. Shrinking - Bill Lawrence is great at comedy with heartfelt drama. It's a great show.

I have others, but start there if you want either a great intellectual show or a great funny heartfelt show.

Loot
Palm Royale (S1 was good, I thought S2 fell off)
I’m 3-4 episodes into Silo, and it’s been pretty good
Black Bird
Shrinking should really be at the top- it’s better than Ted Lasso to me

I don’t know how The Morning Show has made it this long- it’s SO SLOW. Great cast, but it wasn’t that good to me

I loved S1 of Severance. S2 got weird and S3 got REAL weird. I gave up on it.

I must confess I liked Ted Lasso...

For the wife/GF: The Morning Show

Slow Horses is good

If you like sci-fi, Foundation is awesome. It has it's flaws, but overall it's very enjoyable.

Ted Lasso is still the gold standard for Apple IMHO.

This may be the best thing I've seen on Apple+. It's great.

I'll also second Severance. It's really good, even if a bit overrated on this board. And it's definitely weird (to the point of ridiculousness at times). But like someone said, it's definitely a pretty original premise. And it is absolutely beautifully shot.

I've watched quite a bit of Apple+ shows now, probably 20 of them. If I had to rank them the only thing that wouldn't be hard to do is put Ted Lasso last

My god he drove me absolutely nuts by the beginning of S3 I had to give up. Some nice heartfelt moments along the way but Ted Lasso as an actual soccer coach made me quit. Like dude, at some point in your years as coach of a major soccer program, try and learn SOMETHING about the sport, not just letting your assistants do all the work and you be the motivation speaker from time to time. Ugh.

Ted Lasso was a perfect show for Covid that brought people together

It’s a B show. Very cheesy and rinse and repeat. It’s fine but let’s slow down on saying it’s prestige tv.
